Hey Josh, thank you so much for all the great content and this amazing review! You've pretty much sold me on this gimbal but I’m a little confused about the follow focus. Is there a way to have a remote device (Not a phone) for another person to follow focus with? Does this system only provide follow focus with the focus wheel on the gimbal, or is there a way I can have a dedicated focus puller to have an external monitor and a remote such as the ifocus from mozu air 2. I've been looking everywhere to try and get this answered but can't find it anywhere and would love to be sure before I pull the trigger :) Really appreciate any help, thank you so much! :)

I’ve just bought and installed both the follow focus servo and the zoom servo. When I connect either one of the two, it works fine, but when I connect both at the same time, only the zoom servo works through the handle rocker. The follow focus doesn’t work. The wheel doesn't do anything. I’ve tried in both movie mode and manual mode and I still have the same issue. I have also set the lens to both AF and MF and I still have the same issue. My gimbal is attached to the Sony a7iii with a Sony 24-105 lens. Any advice on what could be wrong here?

Fixed handle is brilliant. The design should provide less fatigue. Keeps the shoulder joint nearly at zero degrees majority of the time making the upper arm closer to the center of the body. The amount of shoulder flexion in a sagittal plane flexes under 30 degrees in straight shoot. Man...this is great.

I'm curious to see the motor performance with a c200 and a 24-70mm attached. No warp stabilizer. If you happen to get your hands on that combo, would you be able to show a video test of how it performs (running and walking) straight out of camera? Peter Mckinnon did one with the ronin s which was extremely helpful.

External zoom lenses (min 3:11-3:25) Hi Josh, first thanks for this video. At min 3:11 - 3:25 we can see, that you use a lense with an external zoom. So the weight will be more on the front if you zoom. So normally, the gimbal-motors should do the work for a few seconds, but its not good for the motors. Did Zhiyun now made something different/new here? (so that it doesn´t matter for the motors anymore? And you can do this for a long time now?) At 3:23/3:24 (if the zoom-lense is extendet to max) we see a slightly movement down. Does the Crane 3 now a new balancing by itself? Or is it cause by the more weight? Thanks in advance for your quick answer. Greeting Franz

  • @MomentumProductions1992

There is a VERY large misconception about the motors. The gimbal has IMU and CPU sensors that judge if the motors can handle the weight or not. If there is too much weight or pressure on any motor, it will simply shut off before causing any damage.

Hi Josh, thank you very much for your answer. I see, that there is a huge misconception and confusing. I think this is caused by the fact, that you hardly (oder event not) find some informations about that topic. *Do you know if the crane 2 act´s the same?* Background is: I just bought the crane 2 (it will arrive today) and after that i noticed, they will ship the crane 3 in a short time. So I´m a bit undecided, if I should purchase the c3 rather than the c2. I know, there are a lot other differences between those two, but this informations i got by my own researching and have my own pros & cons-list for my special needs. Thanks again and rock on Franz
