I watched both your video and her response, and I still don't understand how to pick up gamer girls!? I have always just mocked their interests and implied they don't really like them, like I do, and that I'm objectively better at each thing they do. So far, that hasn't worked and now I'm all out of ideas...

@@elijahfeuerstein4710 I think it's called Poe's Law, where situations online have devolved to the point where no matter how ridiculous you *think* you're being, there are people out there who will actually have said the nonsense you're saying in jest and therefore people will believe what you are saying is real. It's maddening. Just to clarify something, Josh is absolutely joking around. He is very deadpan in his delivery and is willing to drive a joke into the ground, through the ground, out the other side of the ground, and then reapply it to the ground again until there is no more ground left to drive the joke into. (He once did a 3-hour response to Asmongold's response to his video. He doesn't fuck around and waiting for him to "break" is an infinite challenge.)

As someone, like you, who has been on the internet since it was just a bunch of BBSs and I was connecting on my 5200 baud rate modem, yeah. It's a long held understanding, even if it wasn't officially named yet. I was a troll in the late '90s and was able to get people to believe I was being honest with some ridiculous things. Because, like the law states, there is someone out there that feels that way. It's like how I honestly believe that Flat Earthers were kidding, like the "Birds aren't real" people. I think it might have even started that way but enough idiots saw it, thought it was serious, took the jokes as truth, and spread the "message" like it was fact. The conspiracy theorists almost always want to feel special and smart, like they're able to see behind a curtain of lies. They do this to the point they never cared if the curtain existed in the first place. I'm off-topic now, but yeah, enough people are idiots that it makes it really hard to tell if an intelligent person doing a bit is really an idiot or not.

"Many Man Online Roleplaying Girls" Damn... Hitting really hard. Honestly, considering I was already adressed as "he" as female Miqo'te and Viera, I wouldn't be surprised that this is the true reason I hadn't have to deal with sexist crap in FFXIV so far. Too many possible creepy guys assuming I am just a horny dude, even though I don't have incredibly cliche horny glams. xD (Not to mention all the streaming guys with their catgirl characters etc.) But if this means people let me play in peace, why not. :D

It's honestly kind of liberating when people assume you're a guy, I think I've only been hit on twice in the year I've been playing and that was in a random club and once kind of in Limsa but it wasn't too bad. It also helps that that kind of thing can be reported for harassment, and all their limits on the free trial help deter that behavior because if you're going to spend the money on the game you don't want to lose it and there are free ways of talking to people like that. No sense investing in the game only to get banned. They really did a good job with the free trial limits now that I think about it.

Zepla: "If you see a girl in a videogame like working on something just save her some time and go over there and give her all of the gold that you have. If you have any potions like high quality potions or foods you should probably just pass that on over to her as well just to be helpful." That is exactly what Asmangold's playing style is! He just waits for his viewers to find him and he just takes everything! Gaming does not discriminates! As you can see women and men do the same thing in games XD

When I was younger a good friend of mine told me one thing: "Treat them as a man, a potential friend. Go out with them thinking about a fun thing you want to do with some company. If you will feel to take a step, try to take a step, and accept what comes after it" Best advice ever on the matter. How to pick up girls? Stop thinking about picking them up. Speak with them, do something together, and if it will work, you both will know. In my experience too many men interact with women ONLY to search for something more. They START looking for that, and it is, in my hopinion, the best way to ruin everything if there's something to ruin. Would you want for someone to test you as the first thing they do when they first meet you? Would you want that kind of responsibility from someone you don't even know? No, of course not. But a lot of men act like that. The worst I saw happen to my friends and TO ME when I was younger, is managing to setting up for more BEFORE YOU EVEN KNOW IF YOU'RE REALLY INTERESTED. The worst thing that can happen...and it happens a lot with that mindset, is obtaining something YOU REALLY DON'T WANT. Among "gamers", I think that's the most common mistake. I see it with my girl friends. As soon as they reveal what sex they are, all the men around them change their approach instantly. A moment before they were having a fun conversation with a bunch of people, and a moment later they have this swarm of bumbling idiots trying to seduce her. To the point they themselves are sure that will happen. A friend of mine, told me she was a man the first time I met her on FF14. To the point we developed a really masculine friendship: she was literally my "BRO". Then she joined voice chat, revealed herself as a girl, and I laughed and made a joke about it and the fact she had been my "BRO". I did not care at all about her being a girl, I really found it funny to discover it in that way and I joked about it. She instantly said she was not interested in me, even if I never meant to imply I was. The discussion immediately became serious to the point I felt like saying "Ehy, for what kind of creep are you mistaking me?! I don't even know what you look like and you're hundred of km far from were I live. How could I even know if I want to engage with you from just interacting here?!" I felt a bit offended, but I saw the exact thing she feared happen a lot of times, so I remarked my intentions with that statement, and let the discourse fall. She's still my "BRO" anyway. I understand that the majority of men do that because they feel they are in need of an intimate relationship. But, guys, your insecurities are your own, no one will ever solve them for you, and they actively run against your purpose. Treat humans as humans and get your life for what it is
