Before they walked away from it, they broke one too which is why they were threatened in the first place. The people in charge of Ukraine just don't want peace at all, unless it's at the expense of threatening Russia. It's a pity. Russia deserves a better President, but the one thing anyone should be able to respect about Putin is his willingness to protect his country, and nobody has threatened it like the West and NATO. We're never going to stop threatening Russia until it no longer exists. I would rather we co-exist, but Russia wants reasonable co-existence far more than the West does.

We should be clear....''Doing the right thing'' was never part of Mike Johnson's thinking, otherwise the Senate approved bill would have been tabled for up or down vote months ago. Something made him flip, either the daily intel' he receives or the insertion of a loan component to the Ukraine aid bill received Trump's blessing. To suggest this was Johnson's Road to Damascus moment is bizarre.

Three British politicians made a visit to King Trump this last month. Then Mike is summoned to visit his leader. Reminds me of when the France president had a White House meeting after sitting at that long table with Putin. Now he is leading the charge to stop Russia. If Biden or any government official had updated Trump on what was Putin's game plan and my imagination expands to give Trump proof of how Putin thinks about Trump... Trump has a flaw and it is tied to power.

I think it is not disgusting. One thing that is disgusting is the notion from some conservatives - mainly supporters of Donald Trump - that Ukraine should accept a peace agreement under which Ukraine would have to accept Russia occupying the part of southern Ukraine that Russia invaded, and then occupied, in 2014. Such an agreement would allow Russia to maintain military forces to be stationed near Ukraine, a convenient location for future invasion of Ukraine.

I understand the ties between former East Germany and Russia but was surprised to discover the similar close ties of France. According to a French philosopher in the documentary Rebellion The Litvinenko Case, some French people had a romantic view of Russia either politically or culturally. It felt very strange seeing Chirac present putin with the Legion of Honour medal which putin seemed to snub his nose at. A man such as putin as the documentary shows has no honour. What I saw in the documentary was proof of far right extremism as seen in Germany.
