I sent this to my best friend almost 3 years ago. It ended up being the very last interaction I had with her. She died from cancer shortly after and it almost feels like I was able to say goodbye before it happened. Now I play this song for my one year old son as he falls asleep. I still cry every time. I miss you KayLyn. Until we meet again.

What a sad story, I’m so sorry that happened. I’m glad you’re showing it to your 1 year old. My greatest memory of this is my mother showing 7 year old me this song every night. I couldn’t fall asleep without this or the willow maid. Stay strong

When I was younger, about 5-7 years old, I would refuse to go to bed unless my mother played this song, good memories.

This feels like it's... the voice of Impa, as she sings the young princess to sleep. She caresses the child's hair as she sings ever-so-softly. The pride the Sage of Shadow feels at the time is without peer, for with the absence of the queen, this handmaiden to the crown is the closest thing the young princess has to a mother. She can feel the great destiny the child before her holds, and she will do anything to prepare her for the long and dangerous path that lies ahead, hoping against hope that the princess's beloved hero will come to her aid when the time is right.

Ah! I'm sorry! ;_; I'm saving all my Zelda oriented things I do for a future Zelda album :D I'll be doing tons of covers of the ocarina songs later this year and hopefully get it done quicker than you can say "listen!!" xD

I still can't believe that I used to think that Link was Zelda.

Yeah, it's called The Legend of Zelda, but the main character isn't Zelda. It doesn't make sense at first, but you start to get it after playing a few different games.

I did never but that thanks to my big brother, he introduced me to The Legend of Zelda. So he made sure that I wouldn't make that mistake 🤭

You should do a cover of the Ballad of the Goddess from skyward sword, or Laruto's Lament from Twilight Princess|!|

Actually, Laruto's Lament is from Wind Waker. You must have confused with Midna's Lament.

I thought it was nice because your voice is extremely soothing, and you're able to convey feelings through your tone of voice. I also like it because its different enough to feel original, without straying too far so people can have something they can relate with. That's what you do so well, you take songs that we grew up with, fell in love with, and you make it your own and authentic. But enough of the original remains that within 10 seconds of the song I knew what it was. That, is talent.
