Ғылым және технология

‪@ZebraSkimmersCorp‬ over in the USA reached out to me and asked if I would like to review their original disk skimmer. My response was, "absolutely". This video will cover the unboxing and review of Zebra Original Disk Skimmer. It will also highlight how well the unit removes tramp oil from the coolant. Thanks to ‪@dimactooling‬ for dropping the review unit off to me. For more information please see contact details below:

I think this is exactly what we need on our old Quantum at work! It's compact and doing the job. I'm going to send this to the boss and see what he thinks. Thanks Aaron!

G'day Guy. Thanks for watching buddy. I can't believe how fast and efficient it is at removing tramp oil from the coolant. Oh, thanks again for the manual mill maze. The students absolutely loved it. I will post the video soon. Cheers mate, Aaron.

Coolant use is fairly new to me and I definitely don’t run my little machine for mass production. I just wish I wasn’t cursed with the “I can build one of those myself” attitude. 😂 I’ve lost more money with that thought than I’d care to admit. That said, that’s a pretty amazing little machine.

Hey buddy. Yes I actually built one of these years ago. It worked well for awhile and then I gave up and bought a belt type skimmer for my Syil X7. However, if you were in the business of running CNC production most shop just purchase an off the shelf solution and put them to work. Disk skimmers work well, but due to their size can be difficult to mount. Each model type has their pro's and con's. Cheers, Aaron.

Thanks Paul. The skimmer works exceptionally well. I donated the review unit to the TAFE college so it should keep our machine coolant clean and healthy. Cheers 🍻 Aaron

G'day Rick, how's it going mate? Thank you, this is our brand new advanced manufacturing centre at the TAFE institute in Melbourne. I have actually donated this skimmer unit to the institute and will use it as a portable skimmer between each machine. Hope you've been well Rick. Cheers, Aaron.

G'day Jason. That's a very good question mate. May I say that both skimmers work extremely well. However and as I stated in the video, a disk skimmer does work faster. I believe both companies offer both belt and disk skimmer varieties. That said, I will keep my skimpy one in my Syil machine as I modified the chip tray & coolant tank to accept it. This disk skimmer was donated to the TAFE where I'm now employed. Cheers mate, Aaron.
