Happy Thanksgiving!! Wanted to ask, out of all the zebco reels, which is your favorite, what year made and why? Thanks and keep them lines tight!!!

Happy holidays! I have to say my favorite reel is the Zebco 808. Made between 1968 and 1976. The reel was advertised as 100% Corrosion Proof. The inner workings of that reel are all stainless or brass. I have two of them that are that vintage. The outer shell is made from Delrin, which may make it look cheep, but the innards are a completely different story. See Part 2 of my box of reels video. I don't use it much though, but I caught some nice channel kitties with it this past Spring. So that is my favorite. My go to fishing reel is an Omega Pro.

I have a 202 but I want a 33

I watched your video on the anti-reverse because I am having a problem with my 33K anti-reverse intermittently not working. Not sure what to do with it as it will work for a while and then just stop working and then it back reels when I catch a big one, which is frustrating. LOL I opened it up and everything looks ok and then it starts working again without me doing anything. But after a few casts it starts acting up again. Any ideas?

The little metal AR pawl is not installed correctly, or the actuator is not in right. Take it apart again and be very careful to get everything lined up just as I show. It should work perfectly before you put it back together. You DON"T need to take the front apart, just the back.

I put it in right but it just doesnt work half the times I try to set the hook, I noticed if my reels is upside down like it would be if your working on it or if I can't get it to engage I shake it and it catches, it works every time but if it's right side up like how you'd be using it fishing it just doesn't work half the time. Guess I'll take it apart again for the 3rd time

I am pretty sure that the AR actuator is not positioned correctly with the AR Pawl. This one can be a little tricky to get right.
