@@gmkgoat Bad part is this pretty much what most of the community, at least on the sub reddit and discord seemed to have wanted the THammer to do. Now that we have this? Very unlikely we get this. THammer will also remain mediocre until they make changes to fix its none empowered attacks/give the empowered attacks some kind of cleave or momentum. Hell I'm not even sure the Cursher is that decent either. Its definelty a capable weapon but is it on par with things like the Power Sword or Force Sword? Definitely not. Which is pretty shit when you considering the zealot is supposed to basically be melee dps and the best melee weapons are locked to other classes.

@@landsman420 attack speed, hit patterns. Axes will kill armor faster especially in a horde since you can choose targets easier. All the swords attack fast enough to deal with killing hordes faster even if they offer less CC. Dagger and Tacaxe trade hoarding for higher base crit to make the bleed build function. Even if the thunderhammer was given aoe, it wouldn't shoot to the top of the weapon list. What people were asking for was for it to cleave through everything that wasn't an elite or special and *then* AOE once it hits them. Which is just clearly overturned armchair developer bullshit.

2:05 ticking starts and you can see the panic of trying not to be near those ledges :D that's prime place for darktide space program.

Holy fuck, this is enthralling gameplay. First off, I didn't realize the maul special's stagger explosion was THAT big. You can do SO much more crowd control than I thought. Secondly, your movement and prioritization is immaculate. THIS is the kind of Zealot I aim to be. Beautiful work, fellow servant of the Emperor. Him on Terra would be proud to have you as his Hammer.

the powe paul is very reminiscent of the flaming flail in vt2, same strengths and weaknesses, similar attack pattern, has the explosive special attack thingy etc. i think its good that darktide is pulling from the strengths of the previous games.

I like the Crusher. Zealot’s best weapon for dealing with Bulwarks IMO.

I've been unwell and unable to play Darktide since launch so I like to live through your videos :) Though I'd certainly not be anywhere near as good. This club looks cool! A bit less commitment to the charge up attack than with the thunder hammer but clearly less powerful

If you crouch while dodging in a direction, you will slide in that direction and move further.

Crouching carries the momentum of the dodge a bit further, but always do the crouch AFTER the dodge. Hopefully it doesn’t get patched out, but it probably won’t as it probably counts as a slide

Think of it like a habit. And I feel like I'm more likely to be successful if I squat down and then dodge. I have crouch set to the side key on my mouse.

funny you say that because it has faster attacks and a shit ton of stagger, it's kind of a better thunderhammer even if the special does less damage. the amount of CC that also doesn't leave you open to counter attacks is nice

can stagger up to 4 ogryns close together where as the thunder hammer could stagger 1 and have to do the long as recovery animation.

I tryed this weapon so many times but I just don't like the mechanic of perma special+light

Yeah, it really makes the Ogryn version almost useless. I feel utterly gimped when using it.

That first clip was painful to watch lmao. Idk if you've taken the crusher to the psychanium yet, but the empowered light attack is terrible and the knockback on it will throw enemies behind you, which is why you almost died in that corner. The empowered heavy is very good for single target though. Nowhere near as good as thunder hammer or eviscerator, but it staggers anything, even bulwarks. You can also do a light>heavy or push attack>heavy combo for horde clear or heavy>light for single target. But it does next to no damage to carapace armor unless you empower it. Overall the crusher has an amazing moveset, but the blessings for it are really bad, which is really all that holds it back from being competitive with eviscerator or combat blade.

I mean its a CC tool above all else. CC is much more valuable in heresy and damnation, but it also means that its especially important that you have teammates that do actual damage efficiently. 7:30 pretty much summed up what it felt like to use the maul in heresy w/ endless horde. A lot of the time u just spam the special to keep the horde (and every elite inside it) permastunned while your teammates clean up the mess. So it really comes down to if u wanna do a CC-focused build.

Power -> LA -> (dodge) HA. Throw some block push and more dodges in there. I mean you saw the video, If you play it like that it’s a very strong versatile weapon.

crusher is best. u can clear like 10 melee elites at once with this thingy without trouble.

this weapon would work if it didnt step on the thunder hammers toes. they should nerf the damage and rename it the "two handed shock maul", making it a pure crowd control weapon. then buff the thunder hammers damage and voila. one for single target damage and one for crowd control.

Good gameplay but man, is the Crusher underwhelming. Weirdly enough even though the Power Maul has a far more awkward moveset I've found it to be much more viable, not to mention it has pretty damn good single-target DPS, not as good as Thunder Hammer but surprisingly better than the Crusher all things considered. At least Crusher is a bit better at anti-horde with its horizontal Light 1, I suppose that's the big difference between the two, but if I could pick I'd rather have the Crusher on Ogryn, and the Power Maul on Zealot. As it stands I think Crusher is in a weird spot, since Thunder Hammer does better single target DPS especially if you Special -> Light -> QQ to reset the animation and does better horde-clear (albeit worse crowd control).

After watching this, I think sending your Paypal link to your dead teammates after the game would be entirely justified.

Yes and no, there is no temp hp cushion so hordes and melee in general are more dangerous as every single melee will go through shields a bit, so if you trade too much on hordes you will just die to chip damage eventually. Enemies have much better hitboxes though (especially ragers vs zerkers) and not dealing with p2p in year of our lord 2022 helps more than you'd expect, fatshark servers aren't always amazing but on average I'm getting much better experience that I had with random hosts in vermintide. Though I have heard its different for people who are further away from fatshark servers.

Well kinda cheap ass powerhammer from china. Honestly AOE it shit becaue hammer can do even better with swings AND it doesnt have AP and Elite killing potential like hammer so. Btw ogrin variant works better. ALSO i wish we didnt need to ON power every hit but HIT every timme we click or hold that button its kinda annoying to do this every time. I can understand it for saw but man.
