I absolutely love the full bullgryn build with the shield and grenade gauntlet, it's well rounded and effective, makes the cosplay that much more satisfying while keeping the little'uns out of harm's way

That double diagonal dodge to avoid the sniper fire was pure ASMR

60s per rock does feel excessively long, even if you can hold 4 of them at once TBH. Would be nice if you could get them from ammo as well or something. But they are incredibly satisfying to use against specialists

It would be sick if you had a cooldown modification for specialist/elite kills, like it shaved 6s off the cooldown of a rock for a successful elite kill in coherency or something. On heavier difficulties it feels like there aren't enough rocks to go around.

Protip: Your ranged weapon bash will also apply bleed stacks with the feat equiped.

the rumbler is hands down the best weapon in the entire game. anyone saying otherwise is a heretic.

I want to try psyker and vet after this overhaul but ogryn and zealot are so much fun. This game went from amazing to absolutely fantastic. Hoping for a harder difficulty soon since we feel much stronger now.

they know, theyre not aiming for damage, theyre doing it for the stagger. in cases like where there is a hound near by while you are being swarmed, shooting the ground gives you some insurance if the dog pounces you.

Does under hand throw for grenade or rocks make it weaker? Or same damage?

I need some advice, man. In vermintide I didn't have this issue, but I've noticed in this game, if I get surrounded, if I stop blocking for 1 second (even if I push the enemies in front of me away) I get hit by like 5 enemies behind me. It's like I cant even stop blocking long enough to attack without instantly getting nuked. What am I doing wrong?

It depends on how surrounded you are, but the typical advice is 'GET OUT OF THERE STALKER'. Lightly surrounded, just a few dudes behind you, stop advancing and dodge back. You can push amd attackmand all that, but you need to put the enemies behind you infront of you. Hevily surrounded, enough trash behind you that you cant dodge backwards to escape. Stop attacking. Turn around, spam push and leg it. Your gonna take damage but thats inevitable when surrounded. But as always, the best advice for dealing with the bad situation is dont get into the bad situation. So dont get surrounded. When you get into combat weave more pushes into your rotation and be more willing to back up.

Actually let me rephrase that. Getting surrounded is thw wrong action. As youve experienced letting enemies get behind you is a lethal proposition. So modify your habits in melee to avoid getting surrounded. That is, weave more pushes into your rotation, the attack pattern you use, so that you stagger the front of the horde and give less oppotunity for them to surround you. Avoid pushing into the horde to avoid surrounding yourself. Stick close to teammates also in melee so your stacking sources of stagger. Be mindful of the flanking sides of the front of the horde, and move backwards as they move forwards. Or perpendicular to them, so they can't flank you. Make sure most of your dodges have a backwards component, so your always ceating space. And for the love of the Emperor, develop a reflexive dodge respomse to thw whoosh enemies make when they start an attack behind you. Saves so much from stray damage, and is the earliest warning sign that your in danger of getting surrounded.

@@timlieu7623 I do need to start dodging from that sound. Maybe I should start doing what I do against bosses. When I get aggro from a boss, I guard and dodge dance while rotating around them, ya know, dodge jump, repeat. Maybe if I did that until I was sure no enemies were behind me that might help

As fun as the damn things are the rocks should get some form of cool dowb reduction on kills.

Any particular reason you only use the rocks for mutants?

Quick mutant kill. No need to run him down n kill him with a couple melees. Maniac dmg is kind of shit on ogryn weapons. It gives him valuable time to controll the field with horde clear. Plus on maelstrom so many spawn that they can completely wreck your team. Throw in snipers or a boss with 2 or 3 maniacs running around charging your gonna catch an loss. So he kills them quickly n cost effectively with big friendly rock. Greek g up his team to keep shooting horde, specials, elites, boss.

How come you don't run brutal momentum on the shield? I feel like it destroys hordes, especially with the move set. Could be a bunch of dudes infront of you, heavy above their heads n they all die. Also, how come you didn't go for soften them up and payback...it's a substantial amount of dmg, although I guess u don't need it if your going down the heavy hitter tree. I run toughness tree so I can save my lil uns n clutch more, but I'm not as good as u n i only run damnation rn.

Not sure if you know, but Brutal Momentum got massively nerfed. It no longer gives hitmass ignore for a duration; it only gives hitmass ignore on the weakspot kill swing. A deserved nerf, to be sure, but it's a nerf. Also, the shield heavy has so much hit area it doesn't need any cleave, really.

@@sallymae3631 Bull Butcher Mk III might be the ogryn's best melee. Turns everything to ground beef with light attack spam. Only struggles slightly with carapace armor, which bleed on heavy perks help with.

It's tied to his heavy attack. As long as you dodge most hits n get a heavy in before being hit again u get 25 % toughness back n avoid chip dmg.

I'm hopping shirtless ogrin will be a thing legitimately... ~~I know it won't though~~

IIRC, mostly-shirtless Ogryn cosmetics were leaked/datamined, so they do exist. No knowing if they'll make it into the game proper eventually however

At least the dodging is good in this game. In verminitde 2 you be taking damage from nonsense knowing damn well you dodged or blocked it perfectly

Fine nobody said it, I'll do it..why does everyone want to take the medkit backs to the mourningstar... they're not gonna give you extra points for taking the medkit. You where really low on health with the snipers and didn't threw the medkit and I know that map that's the last part so after that you escape, why save the medkit?
