Zante 2024 - Discovering Zante's Hidden Treasures: Wine Tasting
In episode 7, we uncover more of the islands hidden gems.
First, we head north to the beautiful Gaumos Winery Estate, 6km east of Maries. Here we try the wine tasting and take a tour of the vineyard, as well as sampling some of the local delicacies produced here.
Our next stop is in Maries, as we re-visit the Hippie Transporter Bar. We first came here 2 years ago so we pass by to see how things have changed in the 2 years since our last visit.
Then we take the short trip down to Porto Vromi, where the sea is crystal clear and a beautiful shade of blue.
Our last stop is the monastery at Anafonitria, which just happens to be Zante's oldest monastery. We take a look around the grounds before ending our day.

Excellent video once again jamie & Jacqui been down that road to port vromi it was terrifying going down no crash barriers one mistake and it’s a day out with the undertaker. 🙁As for the wine they do make some nice wines in Zante but the burnt tase I don’t think I’d like. Yes that road to Vromi is nightmare fuel for some, think we ended up taking the wrong road and not seeing the actual little beach where the Taverna is. Still, very pretty down there, the water colour is amazing.
getting quite additive now to your blogs ,love the off beat stuff, huge fan of local foods if can, p.s how relaxed is it to fly a drone out there ?
