It may be an easy hike for you guys but when you get to my age and it's 39 degrees, it takes it out of you climbing up that castle. Mind you, there was no stopping us. Wonderful place and lovely people.

When I went in October 2023, there was a fee. Would recommend parking at the bottom and walking up. Parking at the top is difficult.

You should have mentioned the meaning of Zahara!!!!! Which is the Arabic word of ( flower ) , also that the castle been built Vardy Arabs during the Andalusian time!!
