Sandler betrayed himself by a glint of enjoyment in his eyes, probably asked Chris to go out for a drink after the broadcast without realizing, and Chris had to say "look Adam you're cool, and you're funny (while thinking, uh actually Adam yer not that funnny, I guess the one-trick-pony dumb mewling songs that you seem to laugh at more than the audience fools them and Lorn just enough to keep you on. And your movies are absolutely funny...like a graveyard.), but I like women Adam. Sorry. But hey, I hear Dennis Miller is on the market for man meat. Later."

I would love to know how much of this was off-the-cuff with Chris. I feel like much of his performance here was so effortlessly perfect and nuanced - it had to be him just being him. When Sandler rips up the Zagats, Chris's hand movements and facial expressions and subsequent explanation that they have "decided to spend a nice quiet evening at home"... absolutely genius and hysterically funny. I know a couple very much like this and his portrayal of the annoying, clueless wife is so spot-on.
