    The “For Autumn” at the end shattered me. It must be so cathartic for Zack to finally finish this and get it out there after everything that he and his family went through while making it.

    I also really liked when the Flash said to Aquaman: "I thought you didn't care" and he response was "I never said I didn't". It's a very simple line but it really summarizes Aquaman's morality. He's a guy who really cares about everyone, he just doesn't ever like saying it.

    I didn’t understand what Snyder meant when he said that Cyborg was the heart of the film, until I watched Zack Snyder’s Justice League. His story arc was truly moving, so well-written and Ray Fisher’s acting was phenomenal. I’ve never been a huge fan of Cyborg but he was the character I cared most about in this film. A beautiful masterpiece of a movie. Also, Leto’s Joker was disturbingly evil and I’m so glad that he finally got the chance to shine like he was supposed to in Suicide Squad, before he and that whole film got toned- and dumbed down. Leto always delivers. Thank you Zack, Deborah and the whole team behind the true Justice League film♥️♥️♥️. It’s so good I’m literally shaking as I’m writing this. A dream come true.

    I think that, contrary to other directors who include strong women characters to please viewers, Snyder really LOVES strong women characters. And it shows in each of his films. He shows women just like he shows men, strong and beautiful, and I didn't for a second think the Amazones were sexual being showed in a way to please men. They were strong, beautiful characters. Does that make sense ?

  • @scottcoz

    @scottcoz

    I know it's the thing to hate on Joss Whedon nowadays - but, this sentiment makes no sense. He was given a mandate by WB: bring in a 2-hour cut, and make it more like Marvel movies. That's exactly what he did - all the new stuff he shot basically repeated stuff from the Avengers movies (literally the same jokes in some cases) which he (and WB) just assumed would be successful here, too. Was that a horrible mistake, resulting in a frankenstein movie? Yes. But was it, "I'm gonna deliberately tank this movie, and ruin my own career in the process"? Highly doubtful

    @@scottcoz He clearly intentionally torpedoed the film. Stop defending him. He is a disgusting egotistical spiteful hack, and I say this as someone who idolised him through my childhood and teens and even part of my twenties because of his Buffy and Angel shows. • @scottcoz

    @scottcoz

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@DanY-gx2dv I'm not defending him personally. He may indeed by spiteful and egotistical - but that has nothing to do with whether or not he deliberately torpedoed a film. The things he added were EXACTLY things that he did in the Avengers films (like Banner falling on Black Widow's cleavage), so it stands to reason that he thought they would work again, since they worked before (and, again, WB asked him to specifically do that). Unless you're telepathic, saying "there's no way he was thinking..." just shows that perhaps YOU are the one who is egotistical and spiteful, although I'd hesitate to say disgusting, as I don't know you well enough to make that judgement.

  • @scottcoz

    @scottcoz

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@JoeDWhiteTalks Thanks for the rational response, Joe! That's a good point, and is a decent premise for the conclusion you are drawing. However, I have a counter-point: That Wonder Woman project was in 2007 - ancient times, by Hollywood standards. Is it possible that he held a grudge for that long? Certainly possible, but seems unlikely, as he pursued other opportunities with WB after that. That kind thing happens in Hollywood all the time - for every movie that gets made, there were 100 that started development, and then were canned before getting to production. People that hold grudges over that stuff don't last in Hollywood. More importantly: while he was working on JL, he was also in development with WB on his Batgirl movie. That project didn't get canned until February 2018 (partially due to how poorly received JL was in 2017). So, the likelihood of him torpedoing a film, which he would have known would probably doom his next in the works project, seems slim.

    Might be, but Warner Bros demanded an even two-hour runtime (For comparison, the Avengers movies all run for 140-150 minutes aside from Endgame, not to mention Marvel gave more of the Avengers solo movies) and that clearly necessitated a lot of cuts even if Joss Whedon didn't add his own embellishments. The pregnancy scenes were to set up later in ZSJL3. Clark and Lois to have a son that grew up with no powers, Batman to sacrifice himself to save the world in the final battle this time instead of Superman. The son to be named Bruce Kent and 20 years on after Batman's death Clark and Lois take Bruce kent to the Batcave which sparks the beginning of Bruce Kent taking over the mantle as Batman.

    Exactly brother. Unlike Star Wars which made Fin look like an emasculated simp with no edge up in his hair until the third movie . I know for a fact that a lot of Hollywood studios don’t want to make black men look strong and attractive and masculine, they either want us gay or a thug or a sidekick like falcon and war machine, even though I love those characters they still prefer us to look weak so their women won’t find us attractive, and Us as black men won’t be inspired. Cheers to Zack Snyder for making us look like heroic human males for once. Black panther movie obviously is an exception but U get the point of the other examples I made.

    I was amazed to see the Amazons' segment fully realized showing you their "code" of honor on the battlefield. The commitment to just sink the whole stronghold of a vault! The "we have no fear!" battle cry very comic booky yet charming, and highlighting each Amazon passing on the motherbox was great. Liike all that life long training has prepared you for this moment! Now do it for real! Fight with everything at your disposal and it reflected so well from the lassoing, archery, spear throwing, hell even horseback riding which is a pretty underrated skill even though we kinda just pass it off as oh hey yeah that lady's riding a horse 😅. But the real MVPs were those 2 Amazons who held the stone wall with every fiber they had when to help the slow start queen. The closed captions also helped identify some of the different Amazons which was neat too. I can't get over how funny Queen Hippolyta sounds when she yells "Readyyy the hammers!" though 😅
