I know I'm late but to lock it back all you need to do is pull up on the white layer as to forcly turnining it can cause it to break hope this helps

Hey so apparently you're supposed to lift the lid once it's tight. That's how it's supposed to be closed. By forcing it like that, I make it too tight on the lid which caused it to be forever shut. Too tight to undo. Ended up breaking it cause it was holding my engagement ring. It was my attempt at proposing but then we never got it open. Lol.

This comment saved me from breaking my box. Just a 15 degree turn or so and then gentling lifting around the lid popped the center up. Thanks!

Indeed, got a treasure chest from Aliexpress, took me a couple of mins to find out I had to pull it. Now was the first time I tried overtwisting it which worked, but also screwed up the mechanism a bit making me unable to reopen it again. I had to reopen it by using more force on the center button while it was 45°turned and then it worked again like normal.

Just got one! black version. If you pull the white layer outward, the button will pop back up. Cotton balls help a lot with the rattle sound. Sadly it’s a little bigger than usual cubes so sticker compatibility is tricky.

You just have to screw it on and pull the white and yellow side and it will pop back up:) I was confused too when I got it

Another thing i like about this cube is you can't open the top layer without solve it. You better put the cube scrambled when you keep your secret things inside.. 😂

Does it open if you just solve the white layer or f2l or do you have to solve the entire thing to get it to open?

I've heard a lot of people saying you don't even need the whole white layer, only the white face... don't have it though so I can't test it out BUT I did see a video of someone opening it with only white face (not layer) solved, so... maybe?

Maybe get the black plastic one and re-sticker it to have the mechanism at the green side or so. Because nobody tries it with the green layer solved ;-)

Go to 3:05 it's where it really starts.

Can it be opened if it's scrambled?

If I remember correctly the pieces are shaped a specific way on those ones. I don't believe it could be swapped around.

Hello, your recovery method is wrong. The correct way should be to tighten the whole face up and let the center block pop up. Your method will lead to thread damage.
