He is talking about really serious stuff in here like the power of AI and human hacking through biology reading patterns of behaviors with these lens of data knowledge. I am still in the middle but these algorithms is prompting us to behave exactly the way they want us to. The more we learn such things the more I see the importance of meditation to keep the filters of our minds aware with the rudder at our hands. He provides us with necessary insight to a survival, still with a chance of dignity. People whose "control's the internet is taking us by our very soul because as he said, they know us better than ourselves with such amount of data and analysis.

Whether or not the person on the stage is talking sense already beforehand the silent public accepts his or her narrative. The one is feeding the other. From a classroom to Davos this is such a human way of controlling mindsets. Sitting in a U is a good starting point for change…

Yang will sell the americans further to the chinese. No one does (for now at least). You guys need to stop underestimating Trump just because he is very simple in his speech. He has very smart people behind him. He is not an idiot. People who fail to realize that you can have marginal positions (or even wrong ones), and be a simpleton in some areas and still be smart and consciencious, fail to understand how a man who runs companies and big amounts of individuals and can maintain a fairly decent positioning in politics regarding the constitutional knowledge and burocratic processes, needs to be a person capable of a transversal understanding of people beyond depth and speciality, but practical and direct; people that are too pround and smug to recognize that to be Trump you need some proficiencies to play his roll, fail to realize why he won in 2016, and you keep failing to give him his due, even if you disagree with him in some of his perspectives and positions. Trump is a very rude individual, but he is also a very practical and to the point person. People want to take care of the weather when people are surviving month to month, get a grip, no one cares about the world if they can't last the next month if their job evaporates.

@Aramsawafer good to see how you buy your government's stories about extremist threats and blah blah. I have been to China and it further strengthened my conviction about the reality of iron fist government silencing any alternative information sources. Your characterization of America is simply not right. I guess you're not aware of communist and socialist calls made day in and day out in American universities, think tanks, conferences and seminars, as well as in TV programs. You cannot dream anything near that kind freedom to express alternative governance ideas in China. So, first check the facts. About the Xinjiang issues. Certainly as a Chinese citizen you have no way of knowing what's really going on in those camps. In the west people at least search and do journalism to dig up information about the reality of situation. Since you have vpn and access to world wide internet, I would suggest you to search and educate yourself on Xinjiang issues. Let's go beyond nationalist views. I am not American nor living there. I understand your sentiments about your government, because they have achieved economic success pretty fast (not with communist economy, but with capitalist economy, otherwise you would all have equal wealth and everything would be owned by your government, which is not the case). I understand that sentiments and also the fact that China has now gained power in the world arena. So you guys are feeling proud, which is natural. Also this success makes you folks think that it's ok not to have an alternative say, not to have freedom of speech, it's ok to oppress minorities for the benefit of the majority. So you guys find it ok to keep silent, UNTIL... that until is important to note. The virus breakout in wuhan put millions into fearful state and now since their own lives (not lives of some government claimed "extremist" minorities) are in danger, these silent guys now start speaking up and criticizing the government for its slow actions regarding taking measures. In short, because it now hurts those han Chinese folks' lives, they start speaking out. So when you tell me something about the west, consider these first. Also, I remind you again, stay away from VPN, I worry about your safety.

To continue the thread on Xinjiang issues.. when there were first news about the education camps in the western media (which is wrong and engineered in your opinion) your government plain out denied their existence. After further push and more evidence based on the satellite images from the western media, your government had to acknowledge their existence (how do you feel about their lies, I wonder). Then finally they had to come up with a "show" (same old hypocritical way) that they're "happy" and dancing and learning new skills and so on. What skills will they teach to a professor ? I guess you also don't know professionals are equally put into those camps for "reeducation". I am not judging you or people at large. So, no need to defend such atrocities on your side. Just ask yourself, what would you feel if you were in those families instead of your current family and then you are pushed to such bs reeducation ? This is a basic morality and please ask yourself. Now, when I am talking about freedoms I am certainly not considering America to be the angelic state. At least these values are ideals that are aspired to in the western societies and they're also under attack by the developed technologies and huge corporations. So, you don't have to get into us versus them mentality here.

Making "corrections" to the observed temperature data to force it to fit an upward curve is not science. Your cult has been doing this. If the data does not fit your hypothesis, the hypothesis is wrong. Making "corrections" to the temperature data violates the scientific method, and yet this is openly done by climate "scientists" to try to validate their religion.
