Trust me: Dogmatika Runick is such an underrated deck. Literally Pot of Greed. I should see if Shield Bearer has any applications too in that deck.

I never tried that particular combo - Might have to try it out because i love runick decks. I was playing pure dogmatika last season the only problem was alba zoa was vulnerable to flamberge/labyrinth since they weren't ED monsters. But man the feeling of euphoria and dopamine when i matched again superheavy samurai was a blast!

If the Extra deck isn't too tight, you could slot in some Tuner Synchros that allow you to Quick Synchro on your opponent's turn to climb from Hop-Ear Squadron into Baronne or Chengying.

I do have a micro Albaz package in there though to get over Naturia Beast and cards like it since Albaz can be turbo'd out with Incredible Ecclesia, so i do have to be somewhat mindful of the space in my extra deck. Its strictly a control strategy. But yeah, the list is heavily inspired by Joshua Schmidt's old Bystial Runick list (just without much Bystials at all and with a Dogmatika package because I can't let this archetype go, lmao) I'll see what I have room for. If i'm good at anything, its condensing packages. I may need to move Iris Swordsoul to the side deck to make space in the main deck for other stuff. She's generally at her best going first anyhow.

When you walked through the combo used in that Runick list, starting with Noble Knight's Shield-Bearer & ending on Chevalier de Fleur I laughed, because that's _exactly_ what the combo is supposed to do, or rather that was the intended combo/synergy of using those cards when they were being designed lmao - if you played the list/combo pure, it's possible to end on Baronne & Chevalier but you'd need to know your combo lines and play/open more pieces. It references the (criminally underrated) duel from 5Ds that those cards debuted in, being Yusei vs Sherry. 😁 Edit: Just realised Shield-Bearer can be used to search Flying Elephant 😂

Her Noble Knight's debuted in the anime back in 2009. Three years before the TCG Noble Knight Archetype you are referencing. They just remained anime-only for about a decade and ended up being printed with additional effects. So it makes sense they primarily boost her strategy.

@@dancostello4872 Only in the localization. The "Noble Knight" archetype is referred to as "Holy Knight" in the OCG. This includes the anime and games. As such the "Noble Knight's" (or technically "Holy Knight's") archetype debuted in 2009.

That use of Gnomaterial is very interesting. Shield-Bearer has so much potential. I first saw that card played in Jesse Kotton's Crystal Beast deck against Sam.

I like that you use some cards most people dont and take everything into consideration

You really need to open “Flower Summoning” and the lvl 6 tuner rose with peony!!! since the deck struggles a lot with monster negates I am main decking 3 lost wind! It does whif when I draw it off a cardian effect, but can reset itself from grave!! The “best” board I have gotten: light flare, light shower and the level 12 Paul, that is a battle phase negate! Keep on keeping on duelist!

Oooo yeah your right that is pretty cool! What a unique line and it works easily because of spear holder.

Duality is a card, that I don’t see being broken: -It is strong in some decks like cyber dragon, but the card design is very intentional and limiting. Metamorphosis on the other hand is a very capable generic card. As the current best engine for it is runic: -You have specific levels to tutor for.

If I had to share my favorite obscure tech card, i don't know if i could give a straight answer, so i'll just say Rookie Warrior Lady. She provides good GY recursion in Amazoness and is also a Dark Honest on top of that.

Ive noticed in recent years Konami is giving us more monsters that summon to the opponent's side of the field. Potential techs for this could be summoning curse and quiet life.

your right! I think they are doing this because imperm is becoming a +3 staple must have in decks. Being able to Turn off imperm is an enticing strategy for all decks. Summoning Curse is an excellent side board card if you know your going 1st. Love that tech idea.

​@@JessePerezStrategyGamingThat's yet another reason why Imperm is OP compared to regular hand traps: being an actual Trap means disqualifying its hand activation doesn't stop it, it only slows it down as it can still be set and sprung from the field like any Normal Trap.

I believe in shield bearer. I feel like that card is waiting to become a staple in a wind deck or good engine.

I knew mutamorphosis was a good card the second I saw it. In the OCG they summon hugin, activate mutamorphosis, free up the ED zone, and summon maxx c. End phase maxx c goes to hand. BUSTED.

the devouring sarcophagus was the saving grace of my deck when I tried the master duel masochist challenge, not that powerful but very neat and helped me get rid of monsters I otherwise could not with a deck built of only random master pack pulls

Re: Hop Ear Squadron, it's a sneaky good card in the upcoming Exodia deck. Millennium Cross wipes your field of non-archetype monsters and prevents summoning for the rest of the turn. Hop Ear gets around both restrictions.

My tech card that I think has so much untapped potential is Duality. I love that card in branded. It can turn dogmatika maximus or gragnuinol into a dragoon. More niche uses in branded is you can dodge veiler on aluber and summon herald of arc light. so just with a normal summon, you have ripped a card out of their hand, setup an omni-negate, and have a mini-floodgate on board and added a card. I'm sure there are many other targets outside of branded, but I haven't really looked too hard into it. EDIT: just got towards the end of the video, I see you noticed it as well lmao

Shield-Bearer/Hop Ear is my favorite Generaider variant. Personally, I think Hop Ear has more synergy because you can optimize unusable tokens and you can optimize the handrip effect with Harr + Desert Locust. The Spearholder is a good tech in Brigade GladBeast. With the horse, you can summon Borreload with Shuraig for big boost or Ferijit for 1 "mulligan" next turn.

To add to the hasty horse comment - Chromonaly Viimana is a very potent rank 5 monster with a generic monster negate but also an in archtype absorb as well. There might be something to look into with that combo as well Ill have to mabye do some further testing. Good examples!

Another card I'll take you up on betting being banned in 5 years' time: Small world that card is easily the most broken spell card in the game that's still unlimited. Probably will take a while for people to adopt it more, but it's just waiting to be abused.

Maybe you can make a video covering Light Warrior monsters? The typing feels so rare and niche, it's difficult to find routes with say, Poker Knights. Tri-Edge Master, Idaten and Gilti-Gearfried are the main routes I go for.

Exosisters XYZ and Utopia cards are also good light warriors are far as ED for utility. You are probably locked into light warriors but if you aren't lightsworn raiden is good with charge of the light brigade being one of my favorite searchers for the mill 3 addition. Its a level 4 tuner so you can do alot with that.

Duality and shadow's light are both very underrated cards. Duality specifically has a lot of potential as a way to dodge targeting effects since it's a quick play. If a deck has a light or dark starter and is able to pair well with an opposite attribute like Aleister the invoker + blazing cartesia, I think it has a lot of potential.

absolutely. my favorite part is that duality basically pays for itself. Shadows light is a weird card that i still havent figured out yet. Very hard to find a deck for shadows light but since more cards keep releasing every day its good to have on the radar.

Just thinking about the fact that someone used the entire Sherry package in a Runick variant has me cracking up.

Mutamorphosis with the runick mane can help the Generaider deck to start combos. I want to point out some cards that can be helpful techs: Soundproofed and Arrivalrival. Soundproofed can stop the meta Tempai Dragon deck and mixed with Dimensional Barrier can be lethal. On the other side Arrivalrivals can be useful in Tenpai, you can skip all your main phase one and star directly the battle phase. At the start of the battle phase you can activate for example Anti Spell Arrows and then chain Arrivalrivals or the quick play spell of the Tenpai. And then after you are protected against spell and traps like Fobidden Droplets, impermanence and you dodge nibiru, veiler and promethean princess as they must activate during the main phase. I also play constantly the combo of Black Garden in combination with Summoning Curse in my Dinosaur deck to rip off my opponent's hand on my turn one as you can manage to fusion summon the dinosaur that activates the fields directly from the deck or play Black Rose Maiden to search for Black Rose field spell and start the rip off 😂 or lock them with the tokens

The Noble Knights line is the Sherry LeBlanc deck from the event in Duel Links to a T.

If you run a deck that mills itself like skull servants you can throw in doomking, banshee, and zombie world for some free negates. Shiranui spectralsword is an easy synchro in the gy as well. Also can run a super poly package to summon predaplants and nethersoul dragon pretty easy if it's dark types. Make sure to use avendread savior and vampire sucker if you're gonna make a zomb deck as well. Alghoul mazera is also a must

Mutamorphosis is being used on runick Synchron Bystial. It targets the lvl 6 altergeist synchro to trigger its effect and bring out a bystial from the deck

retaliating c is real good tech card in traptrix deck since it literately can search almost every starter/extender in the deck

Duality literally says: "cheat out Red Eyes Dragoon from your extra Deck". The only issue with it it's that you need to build your Deck and extra Deck around it, but since I saw it I knew it was broken.

Great clarification! After even further research there is a bigger 1 card combo to go into baronne other better syncros that has to do with using after using spearholder to make mina a tuner it then uses its second effect tributing itself to get a "living fossil" equip card and then reviving low level of your choice 4/3/2 to go into syncro. The 3 and 2 are guaranteed to be in the GY so turboing out a 8/9 is easy but the 4 might be banished if you used the hand effect to search so there is probably something to cook up to turbo baronne. I guess you can piviot into Visas Amritira to get the visas fieldspell but now your running a whole side engine to turbo barrone and too bulky now to be efficient.

Can't wait for mutamorphosis in MD and try out runick vanquish soul

That Centaur Mina combo is literally the combo Shield Bearer was designed for. You made it sound like a unique combo, but those are all fleur cards used by Sherry LeBlanc in the anime. Yes, even the horse, shield, and spear bearers are Fleur cards.

I love retaliating "C"! What are your thoughts on Contact "C"? (I was also gonna ask about sneaky C but you did mention it, I like the "C" cards haha)

I’ve been miserable in this game lately, but shield bearer makes it a little better.

Centaur Mina is obvious synergy, because all of the cards were released in the same set. In some sense it is the intended instruction set.

I watched on recommendation a yugioh anime video. Apparently there is a character that uses this and they are technically all one archtype. I find it interesting because the "NOBLE KNIGHT" shield bearer and spearholder is technically part of the noble knight archtype with their name but goes more to the fleur archetype then nobleknights.

It probably isn’t part of the new card design. Still it is very interesting to have dual archetype cards: -mekka-orcust -all the cartesia and the dogmatika despia card There are a bunch of other examples in recent times. It is interesting, because there is such power in combining different synergies. The tri archetypes are very interesting for that manor. (nature: plant, insect, reptiles) (beast: winged beast, beast, beast warrior) (machine: cyberse, psychic, machine) Some of these new synergies are so specific, they might as well be official archetype support. The light fiend support is magical musketeer support, that just isn’t named that way. Even the first link-1 was very pushed in power level. It didn’t work, so a whole archetype was specifically made to make the deck viable. The design is so interesting, but the overpowered cards such as snakes eyes, maybe horus make the game uninteresting.

I was certain nadir servant was a whole turn deal and not "after using the card"...

Yeah that was my initial impression too. Absurdly powerful for such a small restriction. But I guess that is to attempt to futureproof the card as more ED cards get graveyard effects. I forgot to even mention you can send kitkalos to the GY to mill 5 in mill decks.

No unfortunately any card sent was not summoned properly and cannot be reborn from the GY unless its sent back into the ED and summoned properly OR if there is some kind of card that allows for the "ignore summoning conditions" and can summon the said card from GY.

I mostly ignore modern meta in my deck building because I don't care to participate in competitive stuff. I'm not interested in optimizing the fun out of the game nor am I interested in combos that last longer than 2 minutes, not including thinking time. I aim to find fun and interesting interactions in short combos of no more than very few actions taken per turn. To minimize solitaire as much as humanly possible and distil every action into something ACTUALLY fast and powerful enough to make meta slaves cry tears of blood. Just because you can do a lot of stuff in one turn of yugioh doesn't make it "fast". The more actions you cram into one turn, the slower you are in my eyes, because you are spending time to take those actions...lots and lots of precious time I can never get back every time I wait through those boring long flashy combos that end on more or less the same set of generic boss monsters plus meta flavor of the year boss monsters. I find competitive yugioh to be boring to watch, unfun to play (if meta slaves are involved and something unique isnt presented) People are unimaginative and boring, thinking in terms for "this or that package" or "this or that engine" or "this searcher or that searcher" or "this or that extender" ash this maxx c that tearlaments this kashtira that blah blah blah...boring af right down to the naming schemes..like freaking american pharmaceuticals and their grab bag of ass pill names Fun is all that matters, and I build my decks for fun and exploritory reasons. I win and lose about 50-50 the time and I am ok with it. If I am having fun, thats what counts. Learn to play less with yourselves and more with your opponent, and vice versa for the opponent. We need a happy balance between time taken per turn, actions taken per turn, and number of total turns per duel in order to increase the fun factor for more people imo

What a refreshing take. I feel the same way I often look for decks that go against the grain and put the extra challenge in making better decks. I love theory crafting and finding new and exciting synergies that are undiscovered. I do believe there is so much less back and forth and that is becuase of cards like accesscode talker that can otk you in 1 turn if you dont put up a board. hopefully konami can make more defensive cards in the future viable. I think more cards like typhoon are a step in the right direction.

Look into black rose garden. The new aromage stuff can make garden maiden and search it with a 1 card combo. Going first it locks snake eyes players out of the game since their entire extra deck cant use tokens. And with 5 tokens on board they cant normal ash. Since its a level 2.

@@JessePerezStrategyGaming true but the new aromage stuff searches the trap card as part of the combo and the trap allows you to special summon an aromage from grave which is 2 summons if you summon the tuner. Meaning the free monster zones are clogged up again by the tokens. You can also search superpoly during the combo with the predaplants and use i:p to to fuse into any predaplant since its dark (which gives them another token if they cleared one by normal summoning diabelle)

Hi. I really love your videos and you delivered with this one too. An idea for a video is about maxx c if it worth to play. Lets consider that ash, droll, cbtg and cross out are the out to maxx so 12 cards(gamma can be played around thrust and talent are a bit situational but those can be included too). Lets take 1000 games and I'm going second. In how many of them do I open maxx c (not as my 6th card even tho I'm going second) ? And for those in how many games does my opponent also open one of the 12 outs ? Additionally in how many games my opponent doesn't open one of the out while I did, resulting in maxx c resolving? Any comparison between those odds in the context of the number of games being played to see if maxx c is worth playing. For context I hate drawing maxx c as my 6th and this happens a lot for some reason; and it seems like it gets negates more than it resolves so I'm interested in the actual numbers because I'm definitely biased due to the reasons stated earlier.

I think maxx c is pretty much worth it to play. Although ash is a counter to maxx c - maxx c also has the benefit of using up the opponents ash so you can realistically not worry about ash. (Only 3.64 % chance to have more than 1 ash in hand if you are running 3) However, to answer your question - running 12 outs to maxx C will give you an 85.06% chance to open the counter to it. But again, even though there are counters to the maxx C is pretty high. Those 15% games are likely free wins, and the other 85% games eliminates an ash/cbtg/crossout from the opponets hand so its net neutral and thus no real disadvantage to not running maxx c. I tried nadir servant in branded, which is supposed to be the 2-3rd best deck to use nadir (after dogmatika itself and lab), and honestly its a dead card going second because you cant run malong/elder entity and a win more going first, it only gets you somewhere if BF gets ashed and if you play luluwalilith (ss cartesia and add fallen of albaz). I would play Nadir with Lab and that annoying going second deck that reflects battle dmg tho

try the maximus package. sending 3 cards from ed is strong in branded. by sending rindbrumm & luluwalilith with maximus you get a ss Quem who sends fallen of albaz who can superpoly on enemys turn by banishing rindbrumm or using quems effect on their turn when you can ss ed monsters again. there is also the gimmick puppet lock line but that combo is pretty lame lol as its such a troll move.

@@JessePerezStrategyGaming I've tried that too, other CCs tried that also. Maximus in MD is too much of a gamble, since you might face lab/branded/mathmech/ritual+herald dump decks and eventually you gonna brick with it since you can't run links on your deck and most of the fusions you want them in the GY until the end phase. In the TCG you can play it on the side deck when going first if you got space, going 2nd would be 100% one more dead card

Gnomaterial isn't that great that you may think since if someone can summon Snake-Eye Oak and not used it yet, they can just use it to send it to GY to summon another Snake-Eye You may stop Ambrowhale this way but it isn't stopping other

The only thing that you will see most of time is I:P is summoned by Flamberge or Field spell and since I:P is used often Ghost Ogre seem viable solution since they will just link away I:P Stop it can stop sending Flamberge at least for temporary and you also stop Appolousa or any link disruption they will throw to you

it should be "reborn type cards" lmao. I use text to subtitles for the subtitles and do alot of editing to fix some errors but i miss a few lol. But now i only hear what the text to subtitles say im saying!

Why did you refrain from calling Ash and MaxxC "heavily used" powerhouses, but left it in the subtitles? Is this a way to skirt under the censorship?

Only promethian princess will lock into fire and thats only when she is on the field. the lock is gone when she is not on the field. The combo is you use snake eyes flamberge to put any cards in the GY to the backrow then on your opponets turn you can ss them with temple or flamberge from the backrow. Typically its done with I:P masq but it can be used to recycle an opponents baronne de Fluer, other monsters with strong effects/negates/other good cards. There is alot of utility because it acts like a monster reborn.

Gnomaterial does nothing to Promethean, in the good combo, you get rid of Promethean with Baronne or by using Oak to send it.

if they have the jet synchron line you would have to use it then on the jet line by using gnome on the level 8 mon. Also, The jet line has generally been regarded as suboptimal as you need a "perfect hand" with almost no interuptions for it to work out consistantly so the ED spots are better regulated for other things so there are way less jet being run. (but some suboptimal decks will still run it) Either way you would just have to change your target accordingly.

also note: if you replace gnome with ash blossom/imperm in this senario you are still getting full comboed as they have full combo and able to play around handtraps with the jet syncron line, if that is the case gnome is still better because it takes out 1+ form of interaction for next turn while imp/ash is played around or only takes out 1 interaction max.

@@JessePerezStrategyGaming You could use Gnome on Jet, yeah, if they don't have a way to remove and bring it back anymore, which isn't super likely, but maybe you have that scenario. Also, Jet Synchron is still the best line, just that you can't always actually go for it if you get interrupted too much.

yes, someone in the comments was already talking about OCG using mutamorph on hugen to get maxx c and add it back to the hand in end phase. Pretty deadly stuff. I wonder what TCG can do with it? There is so much to experiment with these cards and they have much untapped future potential as well.

I like the direction of this video. It is just useless with the current amount of powercreep. Normally I am a sucker for finding a group of cards with synergy, but it just doesn’t matter, because meta decks are too strong. Even my previous best card synergy are not viable. Nothing works, if you don’t play the 15 meta cards with high synergy.

For gnomaterial it just doesn't work. In pure version you are going savage before promethean and even tho SE pure doesn't use princess as link material, they oak send it to the GY. And against fire king bro is just going apo before promethean and the fire king loop

If they are running jet (which is imo suboptimal) you have to use the gnome on the level 7 monster they summon. Don't use it on jet unless it already used it's reborn effect. Then it's stuck.

chevalier negates only durring your turn... so it's infinitely worse than baron. even if it was generic, not needing the fleur synchron - it'd still be infinitely worse than baron.

Excellent point thank you! The card is not as strong then, interesting the runic player had that in his deck. The pop is still good though and fetching equip spells with that combo might still have alot of unexplored potential. Probably would explore other level 8 synchros in that case good thing 8 is a decent synchro number.

​@@JessePerezStrategyGamingEven the original Stardust Dragon sitting there saying no touchy the Fountain would be annoying to deal with against Runick, and if you wanted to pivot Noble Knight back into actual Noble Knights, Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon can revive one of your many Level 1 Tuner options like Jet Synchron or Effect Veiler to make Noble Knight Emperor Chuck Norris himself.

Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell is a great card. Who gives a shit about it being "slow". It's a counter trap. It bans any spell it hits. Meanwhile "C" is a monster card. Do you have any idea how much shit is geared toward shutting monster effects? Use Cursed Seal on....say Branded Fusion, they can't use it anymore. Kashtira Rebirth...Gone. The one sky striker card they need to do anything...GONE. Runick Fountain......GONE. Use Retaliation C, it's going to get shut down cuz it's still on the field. They see it. They know what's up and they aren't playing your weak game.

The issue is these cards are not searchable and can be bricky. We need something that would function even when they are not drawn OR a mill deck. Unfortunatly there are no good light aquas either.

I've gotten Master Rank solely off the back of noble knight shield bearer in ninjas 🥷. Some of these cards are far more deadly than they appear at first glance. (*but i also agree some are only really good for speciifc niche side deck specific matchups)

There is a reason why people don't play them, very specific, situational, unsearchable or straight up bricks. The zombie tech cards are the worst cards in the video lol, shout out to your friend playing on silver
