On most android phones if not all you have this feature anyways To clarify. The KZread popup video that you can drag around while on other applications . Someone added it to android firmware and a lot of androids have this feature now even tv boxes. Roku boxes for example don't because they have edited android removing it via a contract.

For me the main benefit is being able to listen to the videos while using other apps

I use KZread more and for originals it's much better, but Netflix has a much bigger library in general. Google music was merged into KZread Music, so I got it for that, or I would have lost my music downloads. It's worth it for the music alone. If you have a premium account you can download and save all the music you want. If you're going to be somewhere without cell service or wifi you can download music and still listen to it.

It's amazing how KZread has conditioned the used to accept longer and more ads over time. It started obviously with no ads, then went to very short ads that you could click off after a few seconds...it was really no bother at this point. Now it's two sets of longer ads multiple times throughout even the shortest and dumbest videos. It's just horrible. The market needs to respond with a new app that doesn't make you choose between all these ads or paying premium per month.

Don't forget that if you are a university student you can take advantage of the student discount. Although in the United States (Unsure if it applies anywhere else) this means you won't be able to make a student discounted family plan, which sucks... but hey, it is a discount so it is definitely something.

Well if you just want to use that you can open youtube with a browser on your phone and then start the site in "desktop mode". Running in desktop mode you can play music in the background! Works well for me

I clicked on this because I am trying to find a video about how KZread is NOT worth it. My father has 17 monthly subscriptions (YT, Spotify, cable, Netflix, Prime, etc). It's ridiculous. Where is a video that talks about messed up this is? He has completely accepted the advertising garbage... UGH....

Way, way, way too expensive. $144 a year. No way! 30+ million KZread Premium subscribers (as of 2020). That's $360,000,000 per MONTH, or $4,320,000,000 per year. Who are we making rich with our subscriptions? It's way, way, way too expensive.

In interest of saving time. Do you watch a lot of KZread? Are the ads annoying? If YES to either question...then it’s worth it.

I love this video! I have been reviewing KZread Premium and overall, I like it! I feel like KZread Premium and KZread Music together and the ad-free option along with downloading the video to watch them offline are my favorite ones!

Thanks for the helpful video. Not sure about this but I "heard" that although with premium we no longer see the ads the channel does get credit for it.

Exactly! Yt music is a better spotify for me. I listen to more obscure tracks that i can only find with Yt. That combined with being able to support your favorite Yt creators. download vids on mobile, and no adds makes it a great deal for me. But I'd say that if you don't use a music streaming service, than nah its probs not worth it. But as someone who was paying for spotify, it was a no brainer to make a switch to this service

Yes Yes Yes!! I reviewed spotify and youtube for months before selecting KZread and it's awesome. KZread music just gets me. I turn on a mix and I'm in heaven. Highly recommend. It's worth every penny :)

I'd wish YT would do a deal... like pay for YT TV and get YT Premium as a 'perk.' $12 for just ad-blocking is a waste, even with getting the originals.

Thanks for this info. I really didn't know what the subscription was. I had been watching my church and other faith based programs, listening to music and hadn't even thought about it being fee based. When I saw there as a fee, after a year or so, I was going to drop it. Yes, I didn't check my cc to see that I was being charged. When I saw the fee I was going to drop and go to free. After listening your review, I'm keeping it. The music is great and no ads. Plus didn't know about the originals going to check those out too. We retired people have to make sure we're getting the most for the $ and this is a keeper. Hmmmm if only we had KZread in the 60's now that would have been awesome

i dont have any social media accounts, i almost only use my phone for youtube, apple music and some online shopping apps. i really like that i don’t need to go through the ads or need to skip them, and i share my subscription with my whole family. youtube music is really cool if you listen to some artists that aren’t on spotify or apple music because you can listen to them there if they have a song uploaded on youtube even if it’s just fan made.

DUBU TWICE you can start a free trial and literally cancel the subscription 5 minutes later, you’ll still have access to premium for the rest of the month but won’t be automatically charged once the free trial ends. That’s what I did because I knew from the start I didn’t want it, I only took the free trial because I got tired of them constantly asking if I wanted it.

I am curious, what happens to the downloaded videos if you stop subscribing ? Are they available outside KZread or it's more like Netflix where you have to access the service first ? Also I think the price Vs the limited original content they offer is very high. This should cost Disney + money, 6.99, not 11.99 ! At 6.99 would be an easy choice but the current price is a lot, especially if you already subscribe to Netflix, Amazon and Disney +.

Hi Dave, u said that I would be able to downlead videos and watch them without coverage ? So if I unsubscribe eventually will I lose my downloads or they still remain in my laptop ? It might be a stupid question but I am really not good at this stuff. My objective is to be able to carry some music videos with me when I gather with friends and play them wherever I go...

KZread won't stop bugging me about KZread premium. I had my headphones on and I didn't realise but I had my volume at Max. Keep in mind I usually have my volume at 10% and it's pretty loud. And the loudest KZread premium ad comes on and starts like DUN KZread PREMIUM IS AMAZING GET IT. And now my ears hurt. I hate KZread premium

Can my wife and i use the individual youtube premium at the same time or do we have to use the family plan?

I suggest signing up for the family plan if people have family/friends they want to share movies and apps with. even if it's just one other person it's completely worth it. I think it's $15/Month and you can share between yourself and 4 others, very cool service. My son and daughter and I like a lot of the same movies and games and you only have to buy a movie once and everyone can enjoy it, amazing. The same works for games/apps that you buy and of course the Google Music.

Thanks! I've been wondering what KZread Premium was all about. They keep pushing it at me, but I never really knew what they were selling. Only two of the features interest me. I almost never watch television, so I don't give a rodent's rump about KZread Originals. We have SiriusXM, so I wouldn't use their music. Getting rid of ads would be the main perk, especially now that they're pushing more and more of them during the videos I'm watching. The interruptions are quite annoying. And some of the ads before the videos cannot be skipped - like I really need to sit through a 15 second commercial for kiddy toys, feminine hygiene products, drugs for medical issues I don't have, and other stuff I don't care about. Some of the commercials are so annoying that I stop the video altogether and watch something else instead. Or just close KZread and find something better to do. There's always something better to do. Oh well. 😖

KZread premium is not worth it and you can use an adblocker chrome extension to block ads on all websites including KZread and use an online KZread video downloader to download KZread videos instead. And that’s basically KZread premium but free

I don't use Spotify so YM is the service and I hate adds so this is the dealbreaker for me. Background play has turned out to be really nice. Also turns out that it has a few albums spotify don't have from music I listened to in the early 2000s so that's a huge plus.

I wonder if youtube went downhill ever since ads became a regular thing i remember them being boxes where you could click the x button 😂 now youtube is worse then Crunchyroll ads

the major difference is youtube charges $11.99 for a ad free experience but if you break down the yearly crunchyroll subscription it only ends up costing $5.00 a month. it would be nice if the subscription price for youtube was a little cheaper.

I've been a KZreadr since 2006 and I would like to keep supporting this project. So yes I have KZread Premium and like the feature making me able to listen music in background without ads

I have student plan and I been using premium for like 2 years now. For 7CAD I say it's worth it. I prefer KZread music over Spotify cause a lot of the stuff I listen to like live concerts aren't on Spotify. And that's 5 bucks on its own. So I was like why the hell not it's only 2 bucks extra for KZread premium.no ads feels really good although I don't notice it on desktop. I like background play but honestly that shouldnt be a paid feature.

When I entered KZread I got the message try KZread premium for free for three months I didn’t sign up this time and I had to close it to watch this video I do have some questions. How much extra do they charge you when you use an iPad? and do they let you know when the free trial is over? Or perhaps I should say how easy is it to cancel KZread premium before they start charging you?

I'm thinking of doing it out of support. I use YT for everything. Education, cooking, DIY etc....and since I don't have access to cable or satellite tv I watch alot of 15 min versions of tv shows. I really should contribute and support what I love and use all the time.

No. KZread Premium doesn't affect your creator account in any way. You still can't use copyrighted material.

Yup, it's worth it for me. I hate all ads on anything, lol! So ya for me it's a no brainer because I'm too OCD & those interruptions mess up my flow 😜 It would drive me crazy having to wait it out (yup a little inpatient too, haha) or press skip before I subscribed. Nope, no more of that for me fine sirs 😄 it's so worth it for me. Because seriously though, there's nothing better than settling in with your fav stuff, and no distracting ads. Others have already said it, but the ability to listen to videos in other apps is great, but also being able to listen to videos in the car (for me), especially on long drives, makes it more than worth it. Also, it shouldn't be understated, but the picture in picture mode is terrific. I will be watching a video, and then write an email/text or go into another app, and I can still watch it in the little resizeable screen in the corner, that can be moved around. I can't give up these features after using it for a year or so... I will say, one time my sub ended for premium, and going back to watching multiple unskippable ads was awful, I totally took it for granted/forgot just how pestering the ads were. Definitely worth it, get the family plan and invite 5 people to share it for $20, maybe y'all can split it, and it will be even cheaper. Great service.

Hello , question if I download KZread videos/ Sermons/ videos of music and who ever made those videos removes them erase them on their end would I still have them downloaded on my end ??

If you are on YT 1 to 2 hours a day and you listen to music...it's worth it...being able to play music over other apps and while in sleep mode is great...no question about it😉

There’s ways to do all of this on a normal iPhone apart from no ads you can download via pasting the url into a website, and locking your phone whilst playing via desktop mode on web browsers.

Yes! Its wonderful! I'm so glad I upgraded. I use KZread to fall asleep to, or entertain and educate myself on my many fibromyalgia insomnia nights, and the adverts annoyed me when I was awake, or actually woke me up if I had been sleeping. Also, I love that KZread continues in the background, and I can still do my emails, notes etc.

We all forget that we have become ytubers because it was free and ‘thinking’ of us. Suddenly yt is taking an advantage of that. On principle I am saying No to premium

I tried to sign up for the premium KZread. It looks like I have to sign up again and again for each music video that I want. Is that the way that this happens? I thought you could just sign up and download each video that you want. So if you're not in the area where they have internet, you can still listen. Please help me out with this dilemma

I have been to watch "near hour" long videos that are discussion or original music. Getting rid of the interrupting ads is reason enough. I don't use Spotify or any other music service, so this may become a bonus. As for their original content, I've not seen enough to make me even watch to see the opening credits much less sit through one episode. I got an email for a three month trial. I think after seeing this info here, I'll at least give it a try.

I've had premium for quite awhile now and I forgot why I signed up in the first place. I don't use the music and actually think I got it just to get rid of the ads but now thinking about it, I'm not sure if it's really worth it for me. I guess I can try without for a bit and see if I can live without having premium. Especially right now for me, sometimes I can really use the extra $12 for gas or something. Anyway great informative video, thanks and I will have to sub to your channel now for that.

I kept exposing my kids to lgbt things threw the ads . That’s why I caved . Agenda just too strong rite now .

If you pay for you tube, are advertisements removed, from current videos and music?

I love to download (and Keep) my favourite videos, I use YTD. If I download using KZread, will it be saved onto my laptop hard drive?

@@theAstarrr I’ve subscribed for premium too, and it’s as great as you said, but to be honest, the only thing that drives me to pay for it, is to remove the freaking adds.. other benefits are just extra that I don’t REALLY need. But YT needs someone to pay for their undesired originals ...

@@kymtamimi I bought it just to remove ads too, my reasoning is that I cancelled Netflix since I watch KZread videos all the time anyway barely had time for Netflix to it just balanced out in my budget

I regret not getting this sooner. Not only does it stay on in the background but you can turn your phone off while it plays. It's great at work, no ads are amazing. I highly suggest getting it.

Great video. Learned something new about the extra fee when signing up with on an Apple device. This probably holds true as well with other subscriptions.
