So literally the day I posted this KZread have updated the search function in the beta and it's.... actually really great. Their new system is miles better than the old one and this should only be rewarded. Still though, they have been forcing an unfinished, buggy beta on me for ages, and for most of that time it's lacked this superior functionality. Maybe finish it and THEN force people to switch to it guys?

My favorite thing about the checkmark is how subtle it was. I didn’t even notice it directly, however I could subconsciously tell if someone was important if they have it. I don’t know what it is, but it was just so perfect. Idk if this made sense

@@BungieStudios something i recommend you use is the browser extension video blocker. I find that it is very useful when I dont want to have a certain channel in my suggested. Another bit of advice that I have found on the internet but havent verified) is that i you repeated search 'I hate [insert channel here]' in the google search bar then it will stop showing you that channel

Your comment isn't about anything and is essentially spam. It really pays more attention to watch time, likes, and shares when it comes to engagement.

mixererunio yep that’s been the problem for years. You Tube does not have a competitor that gives anyone on here the option to leave. So since they know we can’t leave, they just do whatever they want. I remember a rant video years ago where this guy was defending You Tube, some of the stuff he said I agreed with, but one thing that stuck with me was him saying “if you don’t like what they are doing, BUGGER OFF, there are plenty of other video sharing websites out there. Oh wait you don’t want to do that because the audience is here on You Tube.” Well...YEAH MATE, that’s the problem! In an attempt to defend You Tube you’ve basically summed up the whole reason they do this crap. The only person that seemed to be able to work there way around this was Doug Walker by creating his own website, but then blip disappeared and he was forced to use You Tube from then on. I’m not quite sure how this happened. Why hasn’t anyone else been able to create a better alternative to You Tube that has an audience? After-all people stopped using My Space once they figured Facebook was better. The only thing I can think is that people are so used to that subscribe button and the number next to it telling you how big an audience they have.

Google is willing to lose that money specifically to squash competition, since other sites would have to charge much more or run a lot more ads to pay for hosting that much video. They don't have a tech giant like Google and its investors to fit the bill, though.

It wouldn't surprise me if 24 hours of video were uploaded to KZread every second, nevermind all the ancillary data like views, likes/dislikes, subscribers and subscriber feeds, recommendations, comments, the community tabs, analytics, descriptions, video cards, and whatever else is on the site. And all of it has to be immediately accessible to hundreds of millions, if not billions of people around the world. Only another megacorporation, (or maybe a government?) could possibly produce something comparable. Combine that with the fact that KZread holds all the audience, and the fact that very few people want to split themselves between multiple websites to do the exact same kind of activity, AND all of the archives of nostalgia and *stuff* already in the system. KZread seems basically impossible to dethrone for the near future.

A couple things to try: - When searching, click the Search icon, rather than pressing enter. - In the new beta, to find comments that exactly match a word, try either enclosing it in "quotes" or put a +plus before it. It's gotten increasingly more difficult to search for exact words on Google Search, and these things sometimes work there. - Leave the platform and join your hand on its quest for vengeance.

I'm glad someone brought this up. I've been running multiple channels for a while now and KZread Studio Beta has been a constant thorn in my side. A few more examples of weird decisions/issues: - On your channel page, the video and views tabs lead to the beta studio, but the subscribers tab leads to the current studio. - If the beta studio fails to load for whatever reason, the loading page before the studio won't tell you, so you can be stuck watching an unworking loading page for a long while (which isn't helped by the fact the beta takes twice as long to load as the current). - Carrying on from the last point, on some slower computers the beta studio is so intensive that the page is physically unavailable to them, meaning features are completely blocked off to those with slow Internet connections. - The top of the current studio has a button called "back to Studio Beta", even if you've never used Studio Beta. It treats the beta as if it's a fully-functioning system that should always be used by default, despite literally being called beta. - The channel icon (in the top left) in the beta studio that should allow you to "view your channel on KZread" is incredibly buggy. If you click on the text, it won't work, if you click on the box the text is in, it won't work, if you click on the link icon, it won't work. Keep in mind all of those are within the icon circle. To make it work, you have to press the darkened parts of the icon with no hover graphics on it. The hover graphics are also glitchy in that hovering over the elements too fast can result in only one or two things (such as only the text and textbox) actually showing up. And that's just to name few.

​@Yump Bagle Dark theme can be enabled by clicking on your profile icon on the top right, then 5th or 6th entry in the menu. That said, it can randomly turn off if you have multiple tabs open. Also, the button will sometimes update and synchronize across tabs _but the colors won't_ so you will have e.g. a tab in bright colors and one in dark colors but _pressing the button toggles both_ so you can never get both dark. It's just.... why....

In my past life, I'd have been ashamed to call some of the things 'late Alpha'. And the removal, for no reason, of the ability to group channels so you could easily browse your own interests with 'Yes, you subscribed, but we're going to only show some of your new subscribed content, from the past 48 hours, and we'll add a bell so you get notified sometime in the following week, maybe... if you're lucky, and there's a following wind.

Just an FYI, I loved that hand joke (new favorite character on your channel followed by the L o n g m a n . So at least one person liked it. I honestly like these videos describing how youtube actually treats its content creators, just a quick little insight along with a great explanation of what's going on. A few other people I watch have had similar gripes, but wouldn't go into detail, so thank you.

I remember when for like a week straight KZread’s homepage got really big and obnoxious to use with no way to turn it back, then suddenly it just switched itself back for no reason. Stuff like that happens way to often.
