Hey coach! I have seen a lot of your videos and I have done most of the drills I see here. I was just wondering, is there a way for a WR to read the play before performing it? I'm new at football and I'm starting to get confused at my high school with the plays. Thank you for everything, you have helped me out so much.

Like reading the defender to know how to run your route or are you just talking the play in general?

@firstdowntraining both things, how do I make a good route in order to outplay the defender. And also how can I learn every play I'm supposed to do? Sometimes I just don't get why I'm doing what I'm doing.

Coach do you recommend wrs buying their own shoulder pads? If so what pads should I get?

Yes and I recommend anything where you have a lot of mobility. AKA can touch your hands over your head. I suggest X-Tech pads or Xenith

Good video! Very helpful. I would recommend not clapping so much however, as it is right next to your microphone and a bit jarring to the people watching. Or maybe just me. 😅 otherwise great vid, thanks man!

When doing that stick drill should the foot go flat or stay On the balls of your foot?

Ball of the foot makes contact first but the foot can be flat. Just shouldn’t strike on your heel
