But he was doing charity work thought, any person with the slightest bit of business sense would see that the guys highly valuated their business with meager margins and a loss in funds. You do realise dragons never go into startups with say 5% or 10% right ? companies that manage to get low percentages off the dragons are the ones that have incredibly high potential and are already on their merry way. But there is also the bad loan, for most investers that would be off putting because they have to pay the loan back which means the company has debts which means it takes longer for the invester to get their money back and longer to make profits. The fact the dragons still made a deal in itself was charity work, but letting the guy own the majority is the cherry on the cake. If half the entrepreneurs knew they where being that badly fobbed off they wouldn't accept these deals.

The dragons see potential smash in the market, with their helps and contacts they can reduce the guys margins with the snap of some fingers very easily. Margins on the show don't mean anything if they get a willing invester, what does matter is how they run the business and their enthusiasm, They invest more in the people then they do the product.
