+Metehan, great. But don't forget that your mood is mostly determined by imbalance of certain chemicals in the brain: mood determines thoughts, thoughts barely affect mood. If you've already tried antidepressants, start exercising 5 times a week (force yourself to do it in the beginning), start eating healthy, look for a new hobby (like learning an instrument, a sport or a language), set a happy long term goal for yourself (like going traveling 3 years from now) and clean up your social life (by removing toxic people). If you fail to continue with one or some of these, then don't worry about it and just focus on the others. I did most of those things and they saved me from depression and addiction. Especially the healthy eating and daily exercising greatly improved me within a few weeks. Some people like jogging or cycling, but I prefer fitness because the body building also improves my self esteem. Good luck!!

From Rodger Waters in an interview, Wish you were here is often misinterpreted as being about someone else, and that works and is understandable, but really it is about your own naivete and innocence that you trade in over time, or lose even, through experiences, or "life"... TLDR- "Did you exchang,e a walk on part in the war, for a lead role in a cage?"

It's a good line, but it's difficult to do anything with it. The lines that follow are those that offer direction how to do this: "and the more often you learn to do it, the more light there will be" Don't just think a big idea, repeat using it every day just a little at a time. Beating death is a pretty big concept after all! Take it a little at a time and get better at it every pass. And even we agree on this, the form of this action won't be the same for any one of us, so we must ask - what's my own way of beating death in life, a little bit at a time? Answer this and your profound experience will be complete.

Throwing Away The Alarm Clock by Charles Bukowski my father always said, “early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.” it was lights out at 8 p.m. in our house and we were up at dawn to the smell of coffee, frying bacon and scrambled eggs. my father followed this general routine for a lifetime and died young, broke, and, I think, not too wise. taking note, I rejected his advice and it became, for me, late to bed and late to rise. now, I’m not saying that I’ve conquered the world but I’ve avoided numberless early traffic jams, bypassed some common pitfalls and have met some strange, wonderful people one of whom was myself-someone my father never knew.

My father said he love the poetry of Robert Frost, "The Road Less Traveled" we traveled that road, along with my adventurous mother and my pet dog, we lived in many foreign countries, places which were at that time virtually unheard of, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Thailand, Italy, Bahamas and others, My father was always employed and had a good income, he was loved by people, when he returned to the USA, after serving our country in foreign service for US Dept of State, more than 50 years abroad, he said it was a country he barely recognized, the lack of community, the lack of manners He loved our country , we all do. We need to do more to humanize our nation, we need to change the curriculum for the generation of children destroyed by their parents drug abuse or absence. Teach them to speak standard English, learn manners, and improve our schools, they need safe places to live, affordable places.

@@moskva-kassiopeya If that is the only thing stopping you from creating, from following your bliss, from doing what you love, then change the job. If you cannot change jobs bc of economy or circumstance or location, then change your circumstances or your location! As a woman over 40 in America it is very non-egalitarian for me. I have manifested from nothing, for 4 decades of my life, a more egalitarian circumstance for myself in a sea of "no egalitarianism" but manifesting that daily for myself inside a nation that hates women, that neither supports me or recognizes me as a human being but only as a gender... That is not the answer for me. So I can stay or I can leave... my choice is to leave (moving to Germany this year). To each of us, the question is always the same: How badly do you want what your heart tells you is your path? "Your Life is Your Life, don't let it be clubbed into dank submission..." simply because the STORY you're telling yourself right now is a negative one...That's NOT your story, it's someone else's story that you were fed as a child. Other people's stories are not yours. Tell the Story of Your Life as you Want it to be, and not how it was 5 minutes ago. Every morning you will decide who you are when you wake up. Choose Your Life and no one else's, and if your bliss means changing jobs to a 2nd or 3rd shift, or moving to another city or another country, so what? ........ "DO IT! ....It's the only good fight there is."-CB

This is the core of determination, no matter what it looks like or sounds like. (I have plenty of stories...you do not deserve here!) This is a man willing to go "all the way" for his passion, his art, his craft, no matter how people might view it from the outside looking in... Seriously, grow up and commit to something other than your next high. You have one life to live! Stop chewing on his words and live! You've missed the point completely! Ugh!
