Can you ladies pray for Rachel. She has post partem depression. Had a baby 6 months ago. Having a hard time being a mom, connecting with her baby. She has a great family supporting her. Can we pray for a break through.

Praying for Rachel 🙏 please pass on to her these little bundles of love don’t come with an instruction manual imagine learning a new language you don’t know the basics so everyday you practice and believe me practice makes perfect feeding and changing a nappy is all it takes, imagine you’ve come so far your 6months in already that’s amazing! Sending bests wishes from Ruby x

Mum of 3 under the age of four. What I have learnt. - have hospital bag which is nappy bag but has essentials for mum & dads siblings hanging next to the door mobile phone charger etc. - have a lasagna cooked in the freezer ready to put in the oven if you are tiered you get asked for dinner you can tell hubby put lasagna in the oven - let people hold your baby when you are ready not when they are.

I’m 69, and we never had this much mercy. Thanks for being so real. You bless me. When I was the young mom of two, my second being only two weeks old, I really wanted to mop the floor in the kitchen. It was a hot July day, and I tripped over the mop bucket and spilled it. I called my mother in tears, and she came and took care of it. I had no help from the father of my children. I’ve moved on. I’m a grandmother and retired teacher now. That was almost 45 years ago.

One more tip for visitors, I would recommend sitting/laying on a couch in your living room so you can escape to your bedroom. We had two couples come visit with my first when she was a week old and since the ladies were in our bedroom I couldn't leave. And they didn't have children yet so didn't think to leave themselves and I couldn't get myself to ask them to. My baby slept the full 6 hours even though I desperately needed to wake her up and feed her but I had low supply so it's not simply putting the baby to the breast. When they finally left, I bawled even though I acted like everything was fine when they were there.

Kim, you are a blessing to new Moms I am certain. Such great advice. I am now a grandmother but remember only too well the struggles of being a new Mom. As wonderful as it is (was), the struggles are real but I hope you all give yourselves grace during this time and never be afraid to ask for help when you feel overwhelmed. There is almost always someone who would come if only you reach out. After all, people cannot see through walls so they won’t necessarily know if a new Mom needs help if they don’t ask when they need it! You gave such great advice! 😘

Not gonna lie the last part made me cry because it was what I needed to hear. Social media is great but depending on your mental state, not so good. Looking back I can see how much that affected me postpartum and still is!

Love this. Such great advice for young moms. I’m a Nina ( what my grandson calls me lol ) now but I remember feeling so guilty with our firstborn when I couldn’t produce enough breast milk. Thank goodness there was no social media back then to guilt me even more. So here’s my 2 cents. New moms remember your baby and your situation is unique to you. Don’t fall into the comparison trap and guilt yourself. You do what works the best for your baby and your situation and don’t worry about what other people think. When our second child was born I was literally the Dairy Queen lol. I had so much milk. Every child and every birth is unique. Thanks for sharing this postpartum video that I know will be so helpful. Wish I had this when I was a first time mom. Take care 💙Cheryl

Great video Kim. You have matured so much since I started watching you when you were just a cat mom. Now you are the mom of 3 boys and helping other mothers with your videos. BTW how are those cats doing? I'm a grandmom and didn't those items you suggested. I'm not sure how we did it back then. 😊 I'm glad you shared all of your ideas, recommendations, and life lessons with the young moms. Post partem depression is a real thing and a struggle for many moms.

Eucalyptus was a good thing for me in the bath to sit and soak in. I also made sure that I had some time for just myself each day. I would delegate either my daughter or my husband to cook our supper while I went and soaked in the tub. I did this each day for the first month, then tapered off. I also would take time to go outside and take a short walk. Usually it was during the day while the baby napped and my daughter was doing school work. I would put the baby monitor by her so she could hear if the baby woke up. I carried my phone with me so she could reach me if needed. On my walks I would take a few minutes and just sit under a tree and take in the weather, birds and just not think at all.

Postpartum depression and anxiety is not talked about enough. . .it is REAL. Don't NOT tell anyone if you're struggling. I implore any Mama, new or multiples, make sure you have someone you can talk to. They don't have to understand, it's great if they can understand. (Fortunately unfortunately cuz that means they have been there) but sometimes just having a sounding board and a safe place where you can cry to or whatever you need at the time. Make sure it's someone who won't make you feel like you're crazy because that will just make it worse, you already feel crazy enough most likely. If anyone reading this needs a person like that and doesn't have one, let me know❤

Minerals!! Our body gets depleted during pregnancy and then PP! A prenatal won’t cut it…PLEASE consider getting a mineral supplement, I prefer shilajit and a mineral supplement from Select Balance. Supplementing with minerals completely changed me the 3rd time around. The first 2 I had bad PPD and was so depleted❤️

A peri bottle is for washing your feminine area, as it heals from birth, you need to be gentle and a peri bottle gently sprays water there, you can add a gentle soap or a little vinegar to it as well, it's just a nice way to clean yourself without using a wash cloth. It so sensitive after giving birth, a peri water bottle cleans with out harshness or pain.

I had NO pain at the beginning when things are usually extremely tender & raw. I never even used a cream- it was that great!!! Now I recommend them to my friends. They are a little pricey on Amazon but well worth the investment.
