This was so sad. I cried a little. Seeing Sheldon think about the last thing he would say to his dad is really emotional. I'll remember some of this for when one of my family members dies. I'm gonna miss this show, looking forward to the one of Georgie and Mandy.

This episode hit me hard. I lost my mom three years ago. Every scene in this episode was what I went through. Being mad about the myself and the world. Remembering every opportunity I missed to say I ... 😭

When he was remembering the last time he saw his dad, and kind of re-imagined him saying goodbye or talking to him - for a minute I thought that was what he would do, make that the memory rather than what did happen, because he was having a hard time processing it otherwise.

I thought it was brilliant in showing the different ways people deal with grief. I felt everyone’s reaction was true to their character and well-acted. As to Sheldon not “showing any emotion”… I went to work the day after my mother died. It was the way I coped, by trying to stay “normal”. This is what Sheldon did, he needed time to get to the point where he could process. The part that made me fall apart was older Sheldon realizing the greatest gift to him was parents who accepted and supported him, even through his “weirdness”. This was how my parents were too, and it touched me profoundly.

So nice to see Iain has grown into such an articulate and intelligent young man.

Aww, Sheldon. You really did a really good job in your saying your personal “goodbyes” to your dad in your own way. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time in your experience.

Missy at the casket was the saddest. I remember carrying my daughter at that age to a restaurant and her being a five year old childs eyes light up reminded me of Missy's date with her dad . She most definitely took it the worst. I wish it had showed all of them with a flash back last memory of him

But you could see which way Georgie was going though, no time to grieve - he felt he had to just step right up to become the head of the household, as he was telling Sheldon in TBBT when Sheldon came to ask him to come to his wedding.

It’s so sad to see George go but I know it is needed for the shows time line and big bang theory’s time line so bye George you will be missed

I cried my eyes out. This was a sad, but a good ending to one of the best shows on TV 😢

I just watched the finale. A whole lot of us know what it’s like to lose someone close to us. If I’ve learned anything is that whether we like it or not, grief hurts, but it has to. It’s like if you break your arm and you don’t know if you’ll ever be able to do your favorite activity again and you have to go to the hospital and have a cast put on it so it could heal correctly, stronger and it can be something you can talk about. Grief is the same. You have to deal with it so it can pass, and then you’re stronger

That was a fantastic series finale. One of the best I've seen in comedy or drama. It was nice to see these actors actually show you their other skill sets.

I cried start to finish through this episode.

It's crazy how I started to watch TBBT from when the show began ( was 15 or 16 at that time ) waiting for episodes for almost 15 years now. OMG crazy to say but that is half of my life... and fast forward to this YS series. Felt like I am a part of Cooper family. Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and the cast did amazing job here. Even when I already knew , that George will pass away at some point of their life, this just devastated me. Georgies last goodbyes to his father : "You don't need to worry, I got everything under control, I wont let you down, Dad"... Usually I don't get emotional for characters in shows. But that just ripped me to shreds. Thnks for this experience.

OMG. I love this. I am a human that can need weeks or months to process deep emotions. Often in the middle of the night. That's what insomnia is for. Processing when everything else is quiet.

I appreciate all the hard work the cast and crew put into the show. I have to admit it took me a while to even watch the show when it first started a few years ago. I was like "it won't be the same". I eventually watched and loved it. I think these last 2 episodes were good and I understand why the writers did it but I was kinda annoyed that Sheldon was extremely cold during the mourning process after his father passed. I would have loved to see just a little more emotion. (Yes I know it's not his character) 7.5 out of 10.

I think it's be nice for adult Sheldon to recognize that and say I've learned from that and I always tell my wife and kids I love them before leaving so they always know

Usually I don't cry when I see a good guy die in movies but this really hits hard. George is a damn good father who made a lot of sacrifices for his family. R.I.P George .

I'm seriously ugly crying. I'm really not ready to see the final 3 episodes. I'm kind of scared of a wreck I will be if I watch it. I don't know if I'm ready yet. 😫😭

I cried the whole time. Having missed out on having a good man for a father it hurt even more to watch the pain everyone went through. I’m glad Missy had a wonderful memory of George when he took her out to Red Lobster. Wish I had a wonderful memory.

Yes, I cried the entire episode. I know this is a show, but George represents all good, decent, selfless fathers and husbands. The scene that really got to me was when Missy recalled going to Red Lobster with her father.

After loosing a parent figure watching this really hit hard it's so true. This is so relatable

This is just to sad to watch, ima cry in my bed, join me y’all

My dad died 9 years ago, when I was 26. I was glad to have 26 years of memories with him, the good and the bad. It pulls at my heart strings. It breaks my heart to see them like this. Plus losing him like that when they are still young. Rest in peace George Senior.

I think that Mary truly would have been reaching out to her kids. The script stereotyped her a bit.

This episode was so emotional.... Actors nailed it! The part when Missy yelled at old man because he sat down on her dad's chair... I guess it made her realize again that her dad was gone. And Sheldon thinking so much of the last moment he ever so him... Georgie picking up the suite... But of course they didn't forget to sprinkle this all with some humour. The co-worker was brilliant❤😅

Why does iain remind me of matpat??

We got cheated out of seeing Sheldon graduate college. It would have been nice to actually show him getting his first degree with the ceremony.

Who cares about Sheldon? He’s a self centered ass! As the series went on it became more about Missy, Georgie, and George Sr. The self absorbed genius and his indulgent mother got boring real quick. I always wondered why Mary did not appreciate the wonderful people Missy and Georgie were.

It's the gear Sheldon put on before going into the water.... but it wasn't mocking, it was Sheldon being Sheldon. That's how I looked at it. At least he did get baptized, he did it for his mom.

No this was not a “shitty show”! It captured the ups and downs of family life and captured grief especially well in the finale. I will miss it. I’m glad Georgie and Mandy will have a spin-off series.
