As a swede, I am so fucking proud of this show. Now lemme list some of the things I adore about it... -the casts chemistry -the fact that the story is not revolving around their sexualities -the fact that they included the lgbtq+ community with respect -they accepted the fact that some people prefer to be closeted sometimes -the real skin with acne -all the adorable moments Simon and Wilhelm share -the fact that the characters are not perfect people, as well as the main characters. They have identifiable flaws which makes them all so much better -being able to relate to the characters -the portrayal of mental challenges especially with August -the amazing acting, hello!?!?!? -the fact that they did not give Wilhelm a label when it comes to his sexuality -the fact that the two of them (Simon and Wilhelm) have to go through struggles together to help build their currently imperfect relationship -the fact that they included other languages and definitely a lot more. Feel free to add to the list.

@@FOC-xu2kw I'm a "Spanish" Teen and I can guarantee you that we don't have perfect skin. I have an acne problem since I was 12 or som and it doesn't want to go away 😭😭 most of the kids my age are in the same situation. That's why I liked this show so much (or at least is one of the reasons)

Netflix you will find a lot of angry teenagers and college students threatening to burn your building if you don't give this like at least 2 MORE seasons every season 10 episode an hour each like HEAR ME OUT-

But not to much seasons. Most shows getting worse after two seasons (mostly because of too much Drama and changes just to keep the story going). I would be satisfied with a beautiful season 2 and a Happy ending for them.

I know there are many shows talking about lgbt, such as SKAM, glee, elite,etc. but this is the first time I see a show combines monarchy and lgbt. Make a protagonist a gay prince? The audacity! So I’m very impressed!

Netflix, you’ve cancelled The Society and Spinning Out after only 1 season; both were amazing shows. PLEASE do not give up on this incredible show! It has so much potential to have multiple seasons due its grand fan base after only 2 weeks of its release

I could list a million reasons and go on a whole rant about why this show is so good, but I'm just gonna leave it at amazing writing and amazing directors, amazing actors with incredible chemistry, great storyline and such realistic characters and stories, it's bringing up important issues like mental health and social class, aaaand also it has a GREAT soundtrack haha!!

One of the things I love the most about the show is how the characters are not identified by their sexualities nor troubled by them. The main problem focuses on being a royal, not gay or anything. Also, it is very realistic (quite funny when you think about its about a prince but..) it shows real feelings with genuine problems. I would like to thank to all crew, directors, writers,s and talented actors and actresses for making this show happen. Also, a thank you to Netflix, too! I hope 2nd season gets confirmed.

This as a "I don't do labels" trope annoys the hell out of me, being pan, and loving bi+ characters actually stating their sexualities, but there's absolutely something to be said for having characters who are young, questioning, figuring things out, and maybe a label isn't so much a priority as the feelings they're sorting through. That sort of representation was really important to me at various stages of questioning.

However for some people labeling themselves are extremely stressful and its okay not to label themselves. I think we also needs shows that would show that its okay to not label yourself too.

Not them being cute in real life as well! Whoever did the casting for Young Royals deserves all the praise. The chemistry is amazing with those two!!

Honestly one of the best series I've watched on netflix. Love how they made everything so realistic, but showing skin texture and actually hiring a cast that look like the age of characters. And not just hiring supermodel but just normal people.

THIS Show has some of the most genuine and believable characters I have seen in a while, there’s just something so authentic about it and the cinematography is absolutely breataking PLEASE RENEW IT FOR SEASON 2!!!!

The characters are so authentic and charismatic and likeable it's insane! Ecxept for the "villains" who are very non-likeable but I mean that's how it should be!

I loved this show so much. Mostly because they portrayed Simon and Wille with passion and respect, they were able to really pass that feeling about the first love, all the nervousity and drama that revolves it. The confusion that Wille felt about his sexuality was so god damn well played, Edvin is really a great actor. Also, can we talk about how everyone had real skin? It's so rare to see actors with acne in shows, I appreciated that. I really hope that netlix renew for a season 2 because my god, I'm living for it.

i mean, it's easy to have teen shows/films where everyone has super clear skin when your actors are in their 30s like the US does... i guess that on this side of the ocean not only do we tend to cast people who are teenagers/early 20s to play high schoolers so they actually look the part (i think omar the oldest of the five? mains and he's only 22, couldn't find info about how old the actress who plays sara is tho) but we also don't really care that much/accept that teens have acne and that's life+caking foundation on is only going to make it worse

@@emilyv.2040 well there are exceptions of course like the actors in derry girls were already in their mid 20s~early 30s when the show started but the casting directors (and the makeup+costumes depts, surely) did a great job because they really do look like kids lol. but yeah, as far as i'm aware/noticed in my own country and the few others i've seen things from, teens are very rarely played by people who graduated high school 10 years before x) ah so yeah, she's also a kid/age appropriate for the role

I swear the chemistry they have on and off character is insane

omar just like mixing between cuteness and hotness, i could not imagine that there is someone like that, he has a special beauty for sure

@@angie3473 theres a great English show "heartstopper " coming up but that's gonna take at least 6 months. In the meantime you could watch Japanese and korean gay stories. They're really mushy and sweet. Oh and theres also a 2014 dutch movie called "jongens". The characters look Similar to wilhemsimon.

EVERYONE REMEMBER TO GIVE A GOOD RATING TO YOUNG ROYALS SO NETFLIX WON’T CANCEL IT

This is literally one of the best shows ever. I agree with every comment that praises the actors, storylines, scenes, basically everything! It all felt so real and not forced. I’m sad there were only 6 episodes and that’s why it was a bit fast paced, but I still enjoyed it so much! Every character is different, but so well portrayed and I just want to see more✨ Even if it had drama, it wasn’t a poor kind of drama. There were real problems, issues, topics, and all I can do is recommend it. (Forgot to mention the epic romance? They’re already living in my mind 24/7)

I have not seen such an insane chemistry between two people for a long time, this is crazy. Best cast choice of all times! Netflix, better to keep this show on our screens at least 3 seasons.

The two of them have such amazing chemistry together. I think it's why the highly emotional scenes work so well for the two of them. Their genuine feelings really make them shine on screen together. The scene in the locker room where they are comforting each other is so powerful. I've watched the episode several times, and I get choked up every time I watch that scene.

This show gave me more than I expected and thought I could take in. I cant right now. The absolute mushiness, tenderness, cuteness that Wilhelmsimon gave me was too much. 😭😭😭😭 honestly dont know what to do. Bern watching the show in every language as possible.

This show is an absolute fucking masterpiece. The acting is incredible and the show feels so raw and real. It’s so refreshing to watch, definitely one of the best shows ever produced. I can’t stop rewatching it and I will persue legal action if we do not get a second season. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a show to get a second season so badly. I hate everything I JUST AAAAA

This is a masterpiece, Seriously! The one thing I want to mention is their skin 😭❤️ teenagers have acne but mostly shows just don't portray it well that's why teens are insecure out there, I loved how everything was soooo natural. Can't explain it in words, the attachment I came to have with this show, eagerly waiting for season 2, please! 😩💖
