I'm sure it's because he grew up speaking English and Swedish, so he could be considered a native English speaker. Your circumstances are probably different so be kind to yourself and work on building up the confidence to engage in English-speaking conversations with others. There are language exchange groups where you can practice speaking the language you want to become more proficient or fluent in while helping your partner with your native language. That's a great way of working toward being more confident with speaking another language.

Don’t be hard on yourself. Majority of Swedish people are fluent in English because they are taught the language in school as a compulsory subject and the influence of English language music and movies undubbed also contribute to their fluency

Let me say, as an American (but not an "ugly American"), how much respect I have for Europeans (or people from other countries too) who speak English. It is utterly shameful that most Americans only speak one language. It is a huge embarrassment for this country that we are so parochial - if that's the right word.

nobody said this but his English is so good! He has not basic vocabulary and I think he's a fluent English speaker. Trust me, learning a new language and speaking it so well as he does it's not easy. Love u Edvin

In sweden we learn english in school from a very young age, like from 8 years old, so almost everyone in sweden is fluent in english! so it's not that unique that he speaks english this good, although his accent is what some people may consider above average

And I guess my accent is kind of similar to Edvins, cause I guess swedish and german aren't taht different in the language. I don't know I would love to learn swedish, but I absolutely get your point and it's right

I'd say his chances of being Sex Education are pretty good now. Both owned by Netflix, and he has really, REALLY demonstrated his fearless acting abilities. There are also a bunch of Swedish characters in SE already. He'd fit right in as some friend or cousin.

Idk why, but i find it adorable that Omar knows Edvin likes elephants. He mentioned it once in this vidio when he was opening his Christmas presents and he got a necklace with an elephant and said it was probably meant for Edvin but that he was gonna keep it anyway

Edvin saying his favourite singer was Billie eilish had me pause the video and stare at my Billie poster int he corner of my room with sm pride

They chose the perfect person for Wilhelm, he is so charming and talented! I hope we will see him in some Cannes-worthy movies in near future. He is a brilliant actor.
