Young Michael Jordan Forced To Score Almost Every Play Because Bulls Were AWFUL | The TurriBulls

Спорт

Sometimes Michael Jordan dominated to prove a point, and the rest of the time it was because his teammates couldn't score consistently, so Michael had to pick up the slack for everyone. Jordan scored because it was necessary to win. In this contest against Barkley & the Sixers, everything the Bulls attempted to run, just wouldn't work (for anyone else), so Jordan was forced to be aggressive. It just so happened to be Dr. J night, the torch was officially passed, and Michael Jordan would absolutely obliterate Charles Barkley in the process, while both were in MVP discussions. Michael put on another 2-way performance the likes of which nobody had seen before, or since. There isn't film that exists of another player putting on this level of a performance. MJ is the best player ever. Period.
Michael scored 56 of the Bulls 93 points which was a historic performance.
Michael scored 60.2% of the Bulls team points in the game, and for context...
Kobe Bryant's 81 point game he scored 66.4% of the Lakers points (81 of 122)
Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point game he scored 59.1% of the Warriors points (100 of 169)
So Michael Jordan scored a higher percentage of his team's points, in this game, than Wilt Chamberlain did in his 100 point game. AND Michael Jordan played the type of disruptive defense that would exhaust the best of the best from any branch of the military.

"The TurriBulls"....... those were great years! No matter where your seat was, the vendors told us all to go sit on the first level, as close to the court as possible (there were sooooo many empty seats). As the Bulls got better and better, our seats got worse and worse...... I got the privilege of seeing MJ live about 300 times during his time. Loved those years.

Jordan stayed with the Bulls during his entire COMPETITIVE career and not to another star filled team just to win. Like the other GREATs he went through the hard times with a team, won Championships with the team, retired with the team.

Literally Jordan had to carry a lottery bound lineup in his first 3 years in the league. It took him immense amount of energy every game just to bring home those wins.

Lebron and Cleveland beat Chauncey, rip,Teyshawn,Rasheed and ben Wallace to go to the finals. The next year they added Mo Williams,Lebron was league mvp,Mike brown was coach of the year and they won 66 games (best in nba). They had home court throughout and they lost in the ecf to dhoward and the magic (without Jameer Nelson). The next year they won 61 games,Lebron was mvp for the second straight year, they had home court throughout the playoffs again but only made it outta the first round. That’s when he left and went miami for help. And after those two disappointing seasons as league mvp,in his first season with Miami he has the Dallas series. Along with what u said, people act like none of this happened when they start talking goat ‘debate’.

Jordan had a Super Team my behind! He slowly build the Bulls into one over years and years. 2nd worst team in the league into Hall of Famers Champions. Practically willed Jackson's triangle play to work. Was a Dr J and Barkley fan of the Sixers and started off hating Jordan for beating the Sixers. But eventually... he cannot be denied my admiration and earned the spot as a GOAT.

Tex winter was the man behind the “Triangle Offense”, which initially Jordan was against because he didn’t see his teammates coming through. The philosophy of the triangle was the answer to Jordan Rules that got the Bulls past the Pistons and beat the Lakers for theIr first Championship.

@@ptub5257 I would also like to add to your comment, the Bulls' Defense was also a Key factory. I went back and watched all of the playoffs from 91-93 and the bulls' Defense was on another level. There were times just like in this game when the only person that could score was MJ but the Defense kept the other team from taking advantage of the bulls' terrible shooting.

You guys don't understand but we represented for all our teams in Chicago. We suffered watching them be a little exciting with Reggie Theus before MJ arrived and ran him out of town. MJ literally through the way he played led the team in every major stat and made them a playoff team. People in the city would start planning their day around the game that night. It was before the internet and so what he was rumored but not seen nationally therefore people started filling stadiums that never filled just to see what everyone was talking about. His greatness was that he never wanted to disappoint those opposing fans. They would cheer louder when he scored than their home team player.

I remember my arguing with my boy back in the day About MJ being better than Magic. All he used to say is Magic gets more assists. I would tell him Jordan would even beat him at that if the people he passed to could make a shot. I add it's not hard getting assists if you're passing to Kareem, Worthy, Wilkes and other All-stars. Threat was fast a good ball handler but couldn't make a shot. Neither could Oakley. Seller's was a 7 foot fade-away inconsistent Shooter and MJ was just starting to trust Paxson.
