    Thank u for this documentary. I am of the Navajo Nation tribe and have become very interested in learning about other tribes in the nation. I am first in my family to get a college degree. I in return am helping my Native people who are plague with the very same issues. I work in Behavioral health and see first hand of alcoholism, substance abuse, suicide in our communities. Please my Native brothers and sisters stand together and let's stop and do better for our children. The ones who suffer the most are the children. Hug our children, support our children... Parents/Grandparents it starts with u. To the young children... There is always better out there. Educate your self. The educated mind is a powerful tool. One day I would like to visit your nation and give back. Very beautiful land you all have. Pray pray the great creator made u strong. We r blessed ppl. Ahe'hee.

    Exactly my thought. Where are they now, in October 2022? Have they escaped the alcohol, drugs, teen pregnancy, and general resignation and depression? Whiteclay, NE, has been shut down, but how are these kids doing twelve years later? That would be an award-winning film.

    I love it: I KNOW someone from Pine Ridge, left for the Corps back in 1982. His name? Doyle Pipe-On-Head, at boot me and Melvin called him Pipe. We were Platoon 2113, H Co. San Diego MCRD. We went with Pipe thru ITS & we went west & he left for the East: 2 Marine Division. Yeah I [we] miss him, please tell him your Navajo Boys from Arizona said ; "hey".

    Hello, Pine Ridge youths, from the Navajo Nation. I see a generation with tremendous potentials. Yes, you can do all things thru Christ Jesus who strengthens you. For he knows the plans for you, to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future. For they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles...amen

    Those states you mentioned are not Northern Mexico.They are the United States. They WERE 'Northern Mexico' for a short period of time. & before that, they belonged to tribes such as: Hopi, Navajo, Serrano, Mona, Yuma, & Apache - just to name a few.That land was invaded by the SPANISH & declared "Mexico."Along came the descendants of the Mayan & Aztec & the Mestizo & the Spaniards.80% of the population at the time was the Indigenous tribes THAT WERE ALREADY THERE & didn't want them there..cont...

  • @user-sm7og6fi3j

    @user-sm7og6fi3j

    5 жыл бұрын

    sharon gonzalez A lot of those kids were not even full “natives” and not all Latinos have any connection to “natives”. Look at the president of Mexico and his wife, they’re obviously Spaniards and so are the majority of the government and the upper and middle classes and this is true throughout South and Central America. Latinos only have about 10% “native” admixture. Question - when is Mexico going to give Mexico back to the “natives”?? I mean if the US owes “natives” so much (even though it’s their own fault they’re the way the are - the weren’t “noble” but they were savages) then surely the Mexicans should owe just as much to their “natives” right? The things “natives” did to their captives (and that includes Mexicans and other “natives”) were unspeakable, they would cut off limbs and torture the captives by burning their skin and cutting off their noses and ears. They would keep them alive for months in this condition. That was just what the women in the “village” would do to them and one of many horrific forms of torture they would employ. They would even smash the heads of infants and they were doing this to each long before Europeans arrived. They lusted after the lands and livestock of other tribes so they would just butcher them and take the land. The comanches and lakota were notorious for this but most tribes did it. There is plenty of historical and archeological of this including recently discovered pits in the mid west each one full of the bones of thousands people who had been tortured and some even eaten.

    you should make a basketball teams and have the girls be cheerleaders or you can make up a team of other girls for basketball and the boys and they can have playoffs and you can also have the children learn how to make things I play games like I don't know if you remember this game but Red Rover Red Rover send one over or volleyball you should get them interested in these kinds of sports and you watch them take off and grow
