Thank you for taking such good care of my baby and I hope my reaction wasn’t too much, but I’ve never seen him stripped down like that in person - it was quite the shock! 😅😅

Back when I was working at Oldsmobile a car came in with a rattle in the passenger rear seat area. The guys had looked at everything they could think of to find it to no avail. The GM rep doing warranty follow-up stuff saw the tech struggling. He walked over and asked if he was looking for a rattle coming from the passenger rear seat. When the tech told him yes, he grabbed the cutting wheel and cut a hole in the door jam and there were two beer cans stuck in there. Apparently, some guy at the factor was retiring and on his last day there he put two beer cans in all the cars he made, lol.

Way back in 1968, I worked for 2 months at a Cadillac dealership, and they had a banging in the drivers door of a new Caddy. We did the same with a cutting wheel, and inside was a Coke bottle hanging on a string, There was a note inside that said, "This was a bitch to find wasn't it?" Some factory reps flew out and took the bottle back with them along with all of the information about the build day. They said that they were going to check for fingerprints on the bottle. Every mechanic in the shop had touched that bottle! LOL One other time I worked at a Buick dealer, and I had a car that would blow the taillight fuse. I decided that there had to be some issue under the carpet. I took all of the seats out so that I could remove the carpet, and found a HORSESHOE nail drove down thru the ribbon wire for the rear lights. One other time a disgruntled worker at Caterpillar took a chisel and put a huge ding in the rear main journal of the crankshaft. I don't remember which engine it was for, but the crankshafts could not be repaired, and were all scrapped. Hundreds were destroyed. The factories do have issues from time to time it seems.

when you breath you remove a small percentage of the o2 oxygen from the air and add a small percentage of co2 carbon dioxide to it. but it's all still a mixed gas. you don't want to be breathing in CO carbon monoxide as it inhibits the bonding of O2 to the red blood cells which can kill you. cars produce both co and co2 in the combustion process. and catalytic converters are there to turn the co into co2 so they don't kill you. but in general the air you breathe is made up of mostly about 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. and lots of other trace gases like argon, hydrogen etc.

You guys are really awesome. That's a ton of work to do in such a short time. Most body shops would take a LOT LONGER to do the same job!!

The original paint job was pretty well done. All those caps were painted off the vehicle and a lot was painted on the back too. Gotta appreciate that.

Talking about missing 10mm sockets always reminds me of how young you whippersnappers are. When I was wrenching in the back yard, it was the 7/16" and 1/2" that was always missing or buggered up. :-D
