Mike & his furry co-pilot live full time in this beautiful, one-of-a-kind skoolie. After Covid gave him the ability to work remotely, he found himself in a new city struggling with his mental health. To try something new, he decided to give nomadic living a try in his Jeep Grand Cherokee. Shortly after, Mike decided that life on the road was something he wanted to continue to pursue. He converted this bus with the help of his friend Steve & it turned out to be the dreamiest home on wheels! Living in the bus has allowed Mike to form a community while traveling across the U.S as he trains for Iron Man.
His skoolie features a large kitchen with massive counter tops, a deep sink, & a huge skylight that allows tons of natural light to shine in throughout the day. In addition to a beautiful kitchen, there is a fixed dinette that has multiple features including storage underneath & the ability to transform into an extra bed. As you move through the bus, you will also find a shower, a bed, & a large closet. This rig is not only beautiful, but comes packed with everything you could ever need.

Your opening line about being in a place with no friends or family, was so helpful, because if your single, often that is just the way it is. I have preached for many years for couples to embrace being a covering for us singles. It is compassion and it makes a difference.

No friends or family …. but we have our buses. My goal is to get another one. Or ten. And become a “Vanlord” in a beautiful location.
Your bus is great, but I kept focusing on the love you have for Bailey ❤ There is nothing like the love between a dog and it’s owner ❤ safe travels
I’m 61, I’m looking at this wishing desperately that I had done this at his age, what an adventure. When he is 61 sitting on his porch the grin on his face remembering this will be just magical! Great life, great attitude, well done!

@erikamassey3582 I'm 60, I'm looking at this and thinking I can't wait to start my shuttle bus build and hit the road on an artist adventure! I have many friends I've made on the road our age and much much older. It's never to late to follow your dreams...I'm learning that when you take a leap of faith, well that's when the magic happens.

You still can. I got my first van & converted it when I was 60. I’ve seen all but 13 states, Hawaii included. If you have the will, you’ll make the way!
What a wonderful philosophy for such a young man, thank you for sharing your lovely home.🙌🏾
One of my favorite bus builds. Fantastic interior design & use of color/art work. Happy trails to you and Baily!! 🚐🐾🦴🇲🇽🌮🫔
Such a cozy and comfy looking bus and I love how much he obviously loves Bailey so much! She's so floofy and beautiful! I'm drooling over their current location!

I think she’s hot 🥵 She would enjoy traveling up north in the snow much better. I have a Husky. She’s miserable in the summer, even in the ac
This was SO GOOD. What a sweet dog. She watched you the entire time with a smile on her face.
Stunning build! And the picture at the end of you and your fur baby speaks volumes! ❤ I am so inspired, Thank You. Much Love and Respect. Peace
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great work guys. The tiny home bus, exudes an understated sophistication & elegance without sacrificing comfort or function. Furthermore, your views from the bus are incredible.
Amazing build! Love the color scheme. He seems like a really cool guy.
You have a "sweet" home on wheels!❤️ I enjoyed hearing about your journey you are on.😊
Beautiful build! Good luck with your training. So great to see a glimpse into a life with purpose.
Love your build. You two guys did an awesome job. I wish you much happiness and safe travels. 😊
You're the man Steve! You both did an awesome job! Bailey is such a beautiful pup.
Thought, based on another bus I have seen... add more solar, hinged from the deck to hang down when on the road, and to make shade and rain cover over your outdoor kitchen when raised up. It will likely only produce when stationary and up, but it will not take up any space and keep your batteries topped off better.
Very nice build. Love it.
Great colors! Motor bike... that's one thing that's missing on so many builds. Not just making quick runs here and there, but FUN making quick runs.
Gorgeous build and wonderful home! I love how Bailey watched and paid attention to you as you have the tour and told your story. I have a Siberian Husky mix, named Wally. I'm in awe of this breed and how smart they are. Happy trails! Thanks for a great tour!
What I got from this, is that this young man GETS IT! He really gets that LIFE IS SHORT and that we all must do our own thing and enjoy OUR LIVES and ignore the ID10TS with their negative judgements. And to the people who thing people like this man are crazy.... just one word to y'all! *MIRROR!*
I think this is my favirite bus Ive seen! Great job.
Beautiful build!!! I thoroughly enjoyed your video! Give Bailey a MWAH for me.... Safe travels!!!
i like what he said at the end of the inside tour a lot!
We love Mike’s build soooo much! Great Tour🙌🙌🙌
It's beautiful!! Good for you! I've been trying to talk my (workaholic) hubby into nomad/bus life. He's totally against it 💔 😢 We've been together 32+ years. He's 14 years my senior. I think he's going to work til he drops. Praying one day he'll come around 🙏🏻 ❤️

We had friends who never had kids and he was a “handyman” kind of guy in his work. But they struggled to keep up with their mortgage and bills. My hubby and I suggested they sell it all and hit the road. They weren’t interested. Even though they had a small camper and liked to go camping, I just figured doing it full time and less stress because of no mortgage would be pretty awesome. My hubby is retiring in 2 years and this is what we plan on doing. We’ll keep our house and property though. We have 2 adult sons who live here. One has his own tiny house and the other loves the freedom of not spending his whole paycheck on rent somewhere. And we love having them here 😊

That's a disturbing comment. You talk about how hard he works but say nothing about how much you work, or if you EVEN work. Hmmm, could that be why he is working so much. Curiously disturbing.
Great layout and great steps to mental health.👍
I like the double fridge. I think more people should have that.
Very informative video. Thanks for sharing and for pointing out the things people should think about while deciding whether this is the type of life the want to live. Currently in the design phase of my own bus. Shower has been my biggest hangup so thanks for the tour. Reopened my creative network in the brain and gave me plenty of inspiration. God Bless you and your Fuzzy friend out there on the roads. Be safe, have fun and "Chase what makes you feel free". (Love that)
He sure is an Excellent Spokesman... He should do Utube on Positive Living Life. Way to Go on your Build its a Beauty...🌿👍❤️👍🌿

Very well build. Great philosophy.
love the kitchen. enjoy
Shower and toilet. 👍
Love ur build…awesome space… Bailey is too cute ❤
Awesome home.
So lovely
Sweet build dude!
Nice work 👏 👌
Hey, very nice bus design. Love the shade of Country Blue on your cupboards and elsewhere. My most favorite part is the double sunroof over the kitchen. Absolutely necessary, IMO. Natural sunlight can be inspirational. I do worry about the ceiling over the shower, tho: you can see the insulation (?) peeking out by the edge near the outer wall. Will water getting in there cause mold, eventually? Also love the open feel in the space by the kitchen and toward the front. door…terrific door, BTW. You did a great job including the extra space below the bed, too. Good luck on your journey and give that gorgeous pupper a pat for me. Added: Just wondered, if the outside wooden shelf/table is too heavy, could you substitute aluminum?
Maryland giving a shout out to west Chester, PA! My son went to UTI in Exton. Nice build!
cool build, cute pup, wish he hadn't shouted over the entire tour lmao
Very nice build😀
love this build.
Long live Steve!!!
Love it and your dog too😊💙❤💓
oh shit west chester!!! wasn't expecting to see someone from dub C on here!! lol.. I am from phoenixville....small world! Great bus, you can see how excited and happy you are- safe and fun travels friend!
I see a lot of people getting the front doors on their buses with glass. In my opinion, not that you asked for it, but its the easiest thing in the world to elbow that glass and pop your front door open. You have a nice lock for the rear end doors, but that glass man, I'd be a bit worried about that personally. Anyway the bus is super super cool. You've planted a seed of inspiration with me. And man 90k on a 7.3 is a rare find. Besides the 12v 5.9 cummins, the 7.3 is close second. I read Ford said to expect 500,000 before rebuild, and dodge (at the time) said the 12v 5.9 said 600,000 for the cummins. Have you considered a 4x4 conversion? That's the only thing I wish I could afford when I finish my bus but the quigley conversion is around 15k.
I love your book choices…❤
Was that a Navy towel I saw? Love the build, & the dog.👍
I Absolutely Adore This! 😅🥰
Lovely. From Australia.
Nice build bro!
NICE ABSOLUTELY
Nice build! You're from my neck of the woods, I'm from Chester County as well, I'm in Lancaster county now.
Smart design🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Very nice
Good looking man 😉
You Are bless 🙌 🙏 ❤️
Everything looks fabulous … but… I think your residential house front door seems a bit wonky on a shuttle bus. Just my opinion. 😬 Everything else looks fantastic though. 😊
Love your dog
Cool Build, Cool Dude, Cool Dog!!!
Wishing you much beauty love peace & unforgettable adventures! May this dream last forever! May I one day have the courage & peace to do the same...
I like this 😊
Wow West Chester huh. I’m in Phoenixville.
May God blessing you
I c wish he would have shown the shoe storage and the entire front better.
WELL PLANNED OUT
I love it
Great build and an even greater interview! Is the queen bed the standard length? How tall is Mike and does he find the bed long enough for him? I ask because i am 6'1" and the crosswise beds I've slept on seem to be a little too short. Thanks!
Awesome! Can’t imagine the gas price to drive it
Mike… congrats! I have a motor home and always wanted a bigger door. What size was it in beginning? If you had to cut if you can share what you used to cut it larger etc. thanks.
