Tim’s face in the background is what makes the scene sublime. Obviously Matthew Holness’ acting is outstanding as the I.T. guy but watching Tim throughout the scene is wonderful

I like the UK office more than the US one purely based on the fact that the UK version stuck to the original purpose of following a boring office, whereas the US one became overdramatic after season 2. Greetings from Spain!!

Yes exactly. The UK didn't need to change anything at all. The U.S office took years to properly get viewers because of how poor the first season was. I love both though. But UK was just genius

Keith’s appraisal was the first time I saw this series. I was channel surfing and found it mid episode. I thought it was a real life documentary and I was immediately hooked and have been ever since!

I was around in an office culture, when appraisals were just becoming a thing, so no one had a clue quite what was happening or what they were, this scene captured how clueless management were and how uninterested employees were too. Brilliant.

I can’t believe Keith has died. But also that he must’ve been 27 years old in the first season of the office!!

This scene with Big Keith tops anything in US one.

It is easy to forget how long ago? This was, what an impact it had and how incredibly good it was. There’s some brilliant scenes in this vid and how some of the actors have gone on to do some amazing stuff in their own right

Thanks to Covid and Zoom etc the office is, or will be soon, no more. It's a shame because over the years I made some really close friends (and met plenty of total plonkers) from working in offices. I'm 47 now and I currently work with two really nice 27 years olds who I have never met in person. I've been working with them everyday for the past two years. Bizarre.
