Seeing it’s not a crusher but in reality it’s called a SHREDDER. These machines take cars and really any metal and shreds it into little pieces.

Nice and slow is the way to go. Faster crushers keep getting jammed and have to frequently reverse the jaws to free them

The crane operator enjoys his job way too much

Hopper needs to be extended. Should not have to have loader waiting holding cars.

Yes. Larger machine has a conveyor. Plus you don't have to remove the engine first.

What happens to the cars after they go through the crusher,do they just vanish,just once I would like to see a end product 👎

They load them into a dump trailer and take them to a steel mill for remelt

What if the shredder machine gets old and tired. Can they shred it into a larger one?

What's the big deal? Its just like the rest of them out there. And btw...it's not crushing them....its grinding them.

He really has the moves to pick up the cars and rip the engines out just like a dog shaking his head with a toy he is trying to pulverize. Thanks for the view.

Headline should read “ shredder”! Crushing is an alternative process.

Did not expect that at the end. That guy chewed those cars up and plucked those engines like a champ.

Shredder needs a larger hopper 4 times as deep so than the supply crane does not have hood the car and wait for the first car to be shredded. Good end function inefficient design.

Imagine bringing the processed car to mechanic with the engine ripped out and shoved in the interior!

All these recycling operations are so slow. No one has come up with a way to make this time-effective.

Slow down and enjoy life, it will all be over before you know it. The automobile is the number 1 recycled human made object on earth and has been for a very long time. Very little is wasted and the only thing left not reusable is the majority of plastic only because once shredded there is no economical way to separate the various types of plastic. If removed before shredding, then it could be sorted and reused.

Yes they have the super shreader is like this machine only way bigger. Shreds a car in about 5 seconds. The product afterwards is metal chunks about 6 inches in diameter

@@holmes1956O The machine after the shredder is pretty amazing the way it separates the ferrous and non ferrous metals and the “fluff”. Steel and cast iron go one way, aluminum and copper another ,with the fluff coming out last

All its doing is shredding a bunch of tin. The engines and all heavy material have been removed. Through a piece of RR track in there and watch what happens. That thing will come a sudden stop.
