I remember watching a video at a BLM protest. A young black woman who was protesting started talking to a black cop, spitting out the usual empty rhetoric at him. He talked reasonably and intelligently with her and after a while she began to talk more naturally, a proper conversation. And I'll always remember this part: he said to her that (paraphrasing) "in a minute one of these white progressive 'allies' will insert herself into our conversation and try to prevent you from talking to me". Sure enough, a obese pink-haired white girl starts pushing her way, talking over her and him, trying to speak on her behalf "she doesn't want to talk to you", etc. A real eye opener. These woke types literally see themselves as saviours of minority groups, who they've infantilised, like a parent who needs to guide and control unruly children who don't know how to behave properly.

This started nearly 20 years ago, really. My son, who had a poster of one of his favorite heroes, MLK, on his wall, was branded a racist at school for calling a janitor "chocolate man," after hearing me describe a handsome black actor as such. I have heard many black people refer to their skin as chocolate, in the same manner as white skin is described as milk or porcelain, or blonde hair as gold. But the pre-woke era righteous school deemed it correct to punish him and demand that he apologize to the janitor-who had no clue what the heck was going on with these stupid people.

The only problem of having dwarf actors playing regular roles regularly is that it just limits cinematography options. Two people of similar height can get a close up shot of their heads standing up toghether. That's impossible for dwarf actors unless they use some movie magic and put some "apple boxes" below the small actor(which is done for regular sized people as well when they're slightly shorter) but end of the day, it'll look very off. One second, they're short, next second, they're eye to eye. It's just limiting.

Peter, you did so much for cinema and tv series... Let history making take it's toll. You already took part in this... Please let others do it, progressively... Do not destroy what you already accomplished, just because! And thank you for being the amazing actor you are...

It's because James is an ideologue. In his mind Piers as a straight white male is always wrong as a representation of hetro normative patriarchal oppression. Dylan however is a member of an oppressed group so must be supported. As he said himself at 7.19 he didn't want to get cancelled for disagreeing. He is confused because he can't work out whether a gay man (notice how he tries to shift the argument to his own identity) or a dwarf is higher on the hierarchy of oppression. People like James don't think for themselves they are trying to comply with a faith based idea of identity and oppression in order to earn their worth as a good and virtuous person. The problem is this ideal has no logical or moral centre and they get angry and turn to lies and insults when it all comes unstuck.

I will say that I don't know many movies with dwarf actors because as they said the roles are disappearing, but I know a very good and funny french movie called Taxi, I don't remember which one cause there was 4 movies but in one of them there's a dwarf cop and he's just so good at his role

I think that the problem with rewriting classical fiary tales, movies, TV series by adding divertisity is, because they force to do that. I still enjoy Big Bang Theory and I don't recall complain about divertisity or connect different race, gender, etc.. For example, in one episode Raj who is Indian wear a costiume of Thor. Was that inappropiate? I don't thinks so. Why? Because there was a CONTEXT. They had a Halloween party and dressed as whoever they liked. There was no ideology here. No one said that from that day Thor should be of Indian culture, or that we wanted to mix west and east.

A couple weeks ago, I had a dream where I -- a 6', 230lbs dude -- was transported to a supernatural world inhabited by Dwarves. Magic existed, but it wasn't as prevalent as normally shown -- it's mostly used for beneficial reasons, such as medicine, safety, removing poverty and hunger, and disposing of trash. Mystical creatures roamed about, unafraid and equally important to the Dwarves. Everything was suited for short statures, and I always had to hunch over just to enter someone's house or other establishments. The people were utterly surprised and nervous that a giant like myself had befriended the local cable guy, walking around and towering over others. Toward the end of the dream, I was thrust into battles against fierce, black Glitch Wolves. If I could write a movie script, I'd totally give real Dwarf actors a promising job!~

What impressed me the most is when he see the bullshit and still try to have a civil conversation and not openly judgemental trying to point out why it is an issue in the first place. Its truly the kind of person I aspire to be (still fails misrably) but don't let it leak, how can a 1.77m Asian-European man could be inspired by a White bearded dwarf.
