You're not zen if you can't build a PC without swearing once

Ойын-сауық

Let's celebrate #NationalRelaxationDay with a zzeeeeeen #PCBuild, ie #NoTalking, not even one single (swear)word.
This video may trigger your #ASMR, but may be suitable for falling asleep due to harsh sounds sometimes.
This is my 1st PC Build so not perfect, I'm not a pro or anything.
This PC will be used to edit, color grade and render/export my 2K/4K videos on DaVinci Resolve, occasional gaming, and maybe live streaming (ASMR / Gaming ASMR) in the future!
I learned everything and got highly inspired by this PC building from @theTechNotice: • ULTIMATE GUIDE: How to... Very detailed video which also explains the majority of my choices (ie components, PSU placed fan up, etc)
CPU: amzn.to/3iIbVlP
CPU COOLER: amzn.to/3fYBjSj
THERMAL PASTE: amzn.to/37GZfVG
MOTHERBOARD: amzn.to/2VQdKUv
SSD: amzn.to/3yCPDHw
RAM: amzn.to/3sd42YD
GPU (from my 2yo eGPU): amzn.to/3sbN50v
ADDITIONAL FAN: amzn.to/3jV7qUq
PSU: amzn.to/3sbpBIV
PSU EXTENSION CABLES: amzn.to/3s9DxmK
CASE: amzn.to/3iFEKiL
SCREEN: amzn.to/3s9hPze
First step was earthing my self, and then flashing last bios update of the motherboard via Q FLASH PLUS so it can support my Ryzen 5900x CPU.
PSU is upside down to exhaust hot air.

It's true, building a pc for the first time is a traumatizing and rewarding experience, I remember having to watch tutorials for each piece to understand how to screw a cooler taking into perspective the CPU manufacturer and then see that the RAM wouldn't fit later, or when the pile of cables from the power supply almost left me in despair because they didn't pass in the correct space, but in the end everything was beautiful and I felt fulfilled.😂 And WOW, you have a war machine my friend! 😮

I finally made the decision yesterday to build my own PC, so seeing this vid is pretty awesome. I know the bare minimum about the guts of a computer so any tips you'd care to share with a white haired old lady would be great. Especially 'what not to do' type stuff.

Aight, I can respect this. You've clearly done enough research to figure out what parts you needed and suited the performance that you require. Obviously I and many others could nitpick some of the parts for the price to performance, and getting CL16 RAM or whatever, but there's also the aesthetical question and I think you nailed it for the most part so... Good job. Hopefully you'll get to upgrade the GPU soon enough... Possibly when the prices are also relatively down.

@@MINECRAFTandSEB Generally speaking, the higher the rank, the better. But this doesn't really matter if you're running 4 sticks of single rank memory. Dual rank memory would be optimal for dual channel. It's not a huge deal breaker and generally offers marginal performance boost. Ryzen 5000 series seems to perfer having more RAM tho, and seems to utilize all 4 slots to gain significant enough of an performance boost to have noticable, altho be it, yet again marginal one. I would say regardless of single or dual or even R4 DIMM, you shouldn't worry of the rank as long as your occupying all 4 of the RAM slots with Ryzen 5000 series CPU's. It's always kind of wholesome seeing someone build a PC for the first time. They plan everything out in advance, look up every little detail and in the end, the machine doesn't even turn on. But that's ok, that's part of the experience. And in most cases, they just forgot to flip the power switch on the PSU and the thing works fine :) Hope you had fun building!
