Restoring an Ultra Rare Typewriter from 1908✨ASMR Unintentional
Here's an almost 1 hour long Ultra Rare Typewriter #ASMR Unintentional #Restoration / Cleaning video, #NoTalking
This is a french model called "Typo Visible" by Manufrance from 1908.
Color grading doesn't help to catch the difference between before and after cleaning but it's more for the atmosphere.
Anyway I hope that will help you fall asleep before the end lol
Fun fact: there is more than 700 cuts in this video, don't hesitate to give a coffee-worth tip with the "Thanks ❤️" button right under this 1 hour long edit without ad in the middle :)

I gotta say, you're killing the ASMR game! Your content is so detailed and calming I almost don't wanna stop listening! All your videos are relaxing, detailed and you can clearly see that a ton of effort and care goes into each and every video. Props to you man, one of my fav creators by far!
So soothing and fascinating at the same time, I am hugely attracted by old typing machines, tools and inventions. This unexpected video is so perfect, the sounds are crystal clear and the pace suits my liking. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

I used to repair typewriters back in the day!! So good to see your attention to detail. Great job.
I have a typewriter just like this one!! My grandmother rescued it from a skip outside an old convent that was being converted! The builders were more than happy to see it go...crazy what some would consider junk, I think typewriters are beautiful 😍
What i really love about a lot of your videos is that it feel like u genuinely doing something thus making the asmr experience feel more natural. Most asmr i watched usually just take random stuff, make noise with it and hope it can somehow be a good trigger which sometimes work but often times feel a bit forced, at least for me.
This typewriter must be a dream to type on. All levers, no linkages! That’s why the keyboard is semi-circular! Must be very satisfying keypresses.
@the_protectorof_smols3563

As an ignorant pleb can you explain the significance of this I am interested
@thetman0068
@@the_protectorof_smols3563 A mechanical typewriter works by mechanically striking a type bar with a raised, reversed character cast into it, onto the page. Between this type bar and the paper, a cloth ribbon impregnated with type ink is raised. The end result of this action is that the raised letter physically punches the ribbon against the paper, causing ink to transfer to it in the shape of the letter cast into the type bar. Each key on a keyboard corresponds to one of these many type bars, such that when you depress a key with sufficient force, the corresponding type bar strikes the page as intended. On comparatively modern typewriters, the keyboard is set up in horizontal rows, like we would see in a modern computer keyboard (which actually looks the way it does because of mechanical typewriters but I digress). But, the set of type bars, called the “basket”, needs to be curved. Why is that? Well, it’s so that every type bar is equidistant from the page, and therefore requires no additional force to strike compared to other keys. Now, on most typewriters, in order to get grid-like keys to mechanically link with curved type bars, an intermediate linkage, just a piece of metal loosely riveted to the key and type bar, is required. But, in the case of this typewriter, it appears that the keys actuate the type bars directly, through leverage! This makes for an odd looking keyboard layout, but it means that there should be no perceivable “slop” in the typing action. Because typical typewriters have another component between key and type bar, there will always be a minor amount of wiggling. In this design, the action appears to be much, much smoother! It must be very satisfying to type on because of that! In short, imagine pressing a key a computer keyboard with the end of a pencil (the linkage). That is analogous to a typical mechanical typewriter. But this one is akin to pressing the button with your own finger! Far smoother!
@thetman0068
There are some modern typewriters where the keys work directly on the type bars, but in those cases the key needs to make a turn to reach the type bar. That added geometry can also cause slop. This typewriter being as direct as it is seems nice, and likely cheaper to manufacture as well.
Thank you for supplying us with content of the highest quality!

You're so skilled with your cinematography and color palette that you can probably make movies out of anything lol. Great video as always!
I've never seen a more aesthetically pleasing typewriter. It's so satisfying watching it be cleaned and worked on.
i am constantly blown away with your variety of subjects. Just the lighting sets and props would seem to cost a fortune, not to mention your character acting. bravo dude, you are a master.
