You’re Not Gonna Make Everyone Happy with Liza Treyger | The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi

Комедия

Comedian Liza Treyger joins us to share the downsides of being born in the Soviet Union, moving to the US at three years old on religious asylum, being arrested three times in a year and a half, and the darkness behind hosting a true crime podcast. Gianmarco talks about being heckled by a child, and Russell shares what it was like to make his Broadway principal debut filling in for Josh Gad as Bud in Gutenberg! The Musical!

More about Gianmarco:
Gianmarco Soresi is a stand-up comedian, actor, and a little too much for some people. He’s told jokes on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Comedy Central, Netflix’s Bonding, Don’t Tell, The Real Housewives of New York for some reason, and he was a JFL New Face in 2022. He’s acted in Billy Crystal’s Here Today, Hustlers, The Last OG, and in his theater days shared the stage with some people who’ve gone on to become huge real estate agents. You can see him post the kind of crowdwork clips that are arguably destroying the artform of stand-up comedy everywhere @gianmarcosoresi and he obviously has a podcast called The Downside with Gianmarco Soresi.🎤

I don’t understand social media you can have a 60 second one liner that has a million hits or this 2 hour session of laughs, loves and insights that should have a million likes :) 😍😃😆

This is gonna be a very cliche KZread comment, but oh well. I’m in the middle of an extremely horrible depressive episode right now, I feel like my brain’s been turned to ash and it’s fucking with my life. Gianmarco, this pod helped me a lot today, your energy is very enlivening. This def deserves more views.

Hey babes, I hope you're feeling better. Even if that just means you're standing up for two minutes a day, or getting a shower, or just effing surviving. I have been there, recently, and the depths below whale poop really suck. I hope you've been able to hear the songbird of hope and look forward to whatever shenanigans life will bring tomorrow. ❤

I love this guest and am gonna find her pod. She's wrong about the Taylor planning the NFL game... But right about how the NFL is TOTALLY playing into it! This pod could have gone on for two more hours and I would have been here for it!

i want to say that deviated septum surgery FOR SURE will decrease all of thise negative symptoms. not being able to breathe right keeps your body in a heightened state !!! my partner is autistic and his nose has been deviated his whole life and we're convinced its made shit SO much harder for him!!!

7:30 - this seemed like a fun interaction to me. The kid seemed nice and it probably would have been fun to reference the 3-hump camel throughout the whole set. Though i can also understand not wanting to be disturbed during a set

I'm not a Theater Adult, so please forgive me... But when I'm there for a show, I'm there for The Show and I trust the infrastructure is in place to provide the best possible person for the role at the time. I've never regretted seeing an "understudy".

The issue with these podcasts (crime podcasts not THIS podcast) is that a lot these days glorify these monsters and take enjoyment in these acts making jokes turning it into common talk, acting like it’s something to have an opinion on, the datelines and 20/20s don’t turn it into coffee talk don’t talk about it while making quips and “dark humor” comments.

I feel as though beliefs like this are equally as silly as the people that believe that believe in a man that turned water to wine these are spiritual religious beliefs at the end of the day
