Interesting feature. That “walk mode” is pretty genius. Imagine trying to move an injured or ill person. Even if it took two people to stabilize them on the bike, you can still get them from point A to point B without carrying them. Also, with a 450 lb capacity for the bike, could transport a LOT of supplies. Could even get a pull behind cart ( like for small children to ride in, behind a bicycle) and fill that up. Or to take out for a hunt and be able to bring home more than you could carry if just walking. -I see lots of possibilities with that much weight capability and “walk mode”. Hope you like the bike.

Faraday cage won't work for a CME.

🚲 Got snow now? Yes our weather is definitely shifted, 2-3 months for some factors others seem almost gone. The chanterelles for instance now come in January instead of November

🚲 always good to have multiple ways to get around! Might want to consider getting a back up battery, tire repair kit and even extra tire or two! things are gonna be harder to get and I do that for my equipment 😉

🚲 I am in Maine also. Very strange weather. Not very much snow and a lot of high winds and rain.

No the weather is definitely different. We have never had such cold days and we rarely have snow and rain. Today we have snow and rain, 49° with a windchill of 7°. I wish I was home in my little house which is easier to heat this big house that I am housesitting. I like your new gadget. I have a bicycle but I have fallen one too many times and the doctor says no more bicycle. But I’m interested in getting a tricycle! That’s my goal for next this year, and I’m going to be a lot more frugal with my food bill go less to the grocery store and be able to buy that bike!

EMP shield for newer cars. Always keep your fuel full in your vehicle. But if one has to walk but can’t carry a bug out bag. Get a golf caddy .

A 🚲 is a great idea!

Some of us do not have the option of bugging out. If we bug out we become a glorified refugee. I don’t have any place to go except a piece of land that doesn’t have shelter on it, and it’s 65 miles away. I think I’m pretty well set for bugging in, it will not be as comfortable as others, with no fireplace or solar gadgets. But growing up we spent many days in a small kitchen - bedroom. Our dad set up tents for us and we had plenty of blankets and we always had a small fire in the cast-iron outdoor grill. We had propane and we had water. Our paper propane were little bottles, and our water we had stored in big barrels/metal barrels. When the weather is really bad like right now with snow mix with rain I stay out of it and I stay home.

I like the folding feature. We have M2S bikes. (mountain to sea) E-bikes.

Great e-bike! I'd like to see exactly how it plugs in. Does it plug into the wall like a lamp, or does it require a 3 prong plug like a dryer? I'm super interested in Faraday bags, I look forward to your video on that! In S. Florida the Summer was WAY Hotter than usual, may have broke some records. 🚴‍♀️

Thank you so much for watching! It comes with a charger that plugs right into the wall, and the other end of the charger plugs right into the battery. You can either charge it with the battery installed in the bike, or you can pop the battery out and charge it out of the bike. The charger looks sort of similar to a laptop charger.

The ebike is wonderful. Do you know if there is a trike ebike opinion for disabled people? Also have you thought about getting an emp shield for your vehicles? People who have medical equipment need to consider emp shield for their homes so the equipment stays working. I and other family members have implanted medical devices. I am looking for emp clothing options. Sorry I'm carrying on about emp shield options. It's as big a deal in our household as our other prep supplies. 🚲 Thank you

Side note you may want to take your battery in because extreme heat or cold that your car can effect your life on the battery. Heat exposure especially can make certain batteries explode. Also get a spare battery if you know your average travel distance is more than the distance you can go full battery distance.

The best thing would probably be to charge a power station/solar generator with a solar panel and plug the ebike charger into that. You could definitely do that 😊

We have EMP shields on all of our vehicles. But think of how many people don't have EMP shields. Let's say we experience an EMP and it disables every vehicle on the road, stops them dead in their tracks. At that point, roads would be absolutely impassable for a vehicle. And even if they were .. do you WANT to be traveling main roads with the only vehicle still running? I'd take my chances on trails and off-roading with an e-bike first.

To heck with that PUT A PETAL BICYCLE IN THE BACK. If an EMP takes out the car an electric bike won't work either. A 10speed with a pair of baskets will get you home with emergency gear.

It was in the news that a house caught fire and multiple family members died because one of these bikes caught fire in their carport while charging! I wouldn't have one if they were free!! THEY ARE DEATH TRAPS!! NEVER BRING THOSE BATTERIES IN YOUR HOUSE OR ANY WHERE NEAR IT!!

There are definitely some cheap brands out there that use questionable parts. Of course any lithium ion battery can become damaged and create a fire, but the lower the quality, the more likely this is to happen. Interestingly enough, lithium ion batteries are also what are used in pretty much all of the cell phones, laptops, cordless tools and powered wheelchairs manufactured today, and it's pretty rare for anyone to shy away from all those. Even medical devices, things like pacemakers, are using lithium ion. But regardless, we treat these with common sense and respect. Things like using the correct charger, not overcharging, not charging overnight, not charging under our pillow while we sleep 😉, etc. Sort of the same thing with our clothes dryer. Those can be super dangerous, but everyone has them. Personally, I don't run mine overnight or when we're not home. But many people do 🤷‍♀️

​@@wickedpreparedall it says is they are lithium ion E bikes! There has been over 200 fires in businesses & homes in New york alone due to E bikes causing multiple deaths and major property damage. You can't put the fires out with water so you need to buy specific fire extinguishers to put the fires out. Just be safe and don't bring them into your home or carport
