I have been there like you brothers. I didn't go to any art school but just love drawing so youtube became my learning platform but it was difficult cos most of the people I wanted to learn from would always do timelapse and barely show detailed tutorial. I finally resorted to constitent practice. And that's part of my reason I create such content, to help and build community of people who were and are like me and to stay real with what I teach. I'm currently doing my PhD in a different study area but I try to be consistent with my channel. And to be honest, I'm grateful to have folks like you in our art community and I also hope you learn well and do better with what you've learnt.

It's not pan pastel. It's very dark and smooth charcoal powder in a small bottle I came across in local shop last year. Frankly I got it from a local shop in China and the name is in Chinese but I'm still working on getting a sales link of it from Amazon for you in a short while. I would make a video about it soon. But I have a link for another good charcoal powder brand in my description so kindly check it up for now.
