“All I want is a home” Means she didnt feel at home at her own planet. Could be that her parents died, and the people that took her in did so grudgingly and aren’t very loving. Her odd fascination and belief in earth caused others to make fun of her, leaving her friendless and alone for years and years. And that’s why she had no problem leaving her planet, in the hopes that she’ll finally find a place she can call home.

Definitely sounds Disney with the dead parents... How about her parents are just very interested in the whole invader cause and she's been watching those movies (causing her parents to be worried) and she's starting to think of other alien races (including humans) as potential equals instead of naturally inferior creatures that need us to tell them what to do or else they'll perish. I bring you: Coco Moana In Space, or Parents Can Be Useful As Secondary Antagonists.

Blue Marble Garden is good. Maybe someday she finds a bunch of kids playin in the dirt with some blue marbles, growing their friendship, and that becomes another metaphor. Alien Dreams sounds better to me for the musical name, because it might be about people dreaming dreams which are alien to their culture.

This feels like a romance story where shes fallen in love with the image she has of someone, but as she spends time with them she starts to grow disillusioned, but then she starts to see them for who they are and sees all their good points and learns to love them for who they actually ar, flaws and all, and not the perfect person she thought they were. Except with, you know, a planet.

@@linklink3008 Valid. Mine is 12. But for people who grew up with classic Who, Baker is usually at the top of the list.

Thinking title of "Garden in the Sky." Kinda captures the high hopes aspect of the alien. You should follow this up with a song about what happens when she makes it there. It would be one of those sad, sobering songs you see where the idealism is shattered and the character mourns. "What happened to my Garden in the Sky?" The musical would continue onward and upward of course. I can just hear this song lending itself to that type of plot turnaround we see all the time.

Possible titles for this song, or its musical, as requested: - Too Late for the Lonely Planet - Last Visitor to the Lonely Planet - A Pebble in the Sky (This was the title of Isaac Asimov's first novel, and it had a very similar theme, except the visitor was not an alien, but a present-day human kicked into the future by a nuclear research accident) - Blue Marble in the Sky And did I say this was awesome? Thanks so much.

Update to my previous comments -- I recently became a devotee of the sci-fi video game "Outer Wilds", and I now have this wild idea in my head about this hypothetical alien musical being about the Nomai, the wise, nomadic alien race the game's story focuses on, and Malinda's character is Solanum, the young, idealistic Nomai girl whom we meet in the game. This would definitely be "alternate universe" to "Outer Wilds", since there are no humans in the universe of the game, but I admit I'm enamored with the idea of the Nomai existing in our universe as well.

Yay! A musical composition accompanied by spoken words about my native species! Though I never saw most Earthlings as beautiful, mystical, and wise. I see them as strange creatures that inhabit this planet Earth I am currently dwelling on.

This is soo great! Make it an alien musical, a Disney alien movie... Or at least put them in a KZread playlist of fun songs. And I also like all your other songs... Irish or anything, slow or fast, fun or serious, wow!

Play Title Ideas: "Pale Blue Dot" "Blue Marble" "Lonely Planet" Song title idea: "Blue Marble Garden" I could SO see a reprise of this song coming up when the main character is at a low point later in the story. It would be perfect. If someone decides to actually make this play (which I REALLY hope someone does), let me know! I'd love to assist with the writing. Emotion is my specialty, and there is SO much emotion to be had in a tale like this my muse is drooling at the chance. Sadly, I'm great at novels, not so much at screenplays. So I could only contribute instead of writing it myself.

ok i have an idea for when the reprise will be sung so the alien thinks humans are great and wise, but after 2 or 3 days on earth, people start bullying her and cussing at her. she tries to tell them that fighting is wrong, but they don’t listen. she then realizes that humans are actually bad people and goes back to space. that’s when she sings the reprise.

Okay, but no joke, I would pay to see this production!!
