I sobbed the entire performance. Breathtakingly beautiful.

When I was a child, I had often heard this beloved song followed by the song, “I believe”, also performed by Elvis Presley, or by others including Tom Jones. Both would give me chills because they were so uplifting! The world needs to hear more songs like this. They make your spirits Soar!🕊

The Hammerstein’s original lyrics were “keep your chin up high”. But apparently that’s hard for singers somehow (not Kelli it seems) so it was changed.

Although everyone sees in to see that musical the number song will be in there but it's always a surprise of casting, did you immediately think when you first see the nun, oh this ought to be interesting to see this little tiny thing belted out, and it always blows you away. Often the very best singer auditioned gets that role.

@@lofnouk I couldn't agree with you LESS. The instrumental version by the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps is the definitive version. The vocals and lyrics and epecially when done by a soprano are insignificant to the melody and pitch and the dynamics.
