In my entire 63 years on this planet, I have never ever heard such a perfect song sung by two perfect voices in perfect sync. I find myself listening over and over again ... just blown away.

I feel the same way. It was stunning seeing these two on stage in person, and just as stunning hearing this rehearsal. I must have watched this over 100 times!!!

There's no one on earth writing music theatre like Jason Robert Brown. Both Steven and Kelli are glorious in the most incandescent meaning of the word.

Kelly has been brilliant in so many shows. Why don’t we see more of Steven? He was perfection in this show.

This video is 6 years old and I still enjoy listening to it often.

This is one of the most beautiful new theater songs in decades. Kelli is her usual stunning self. Steven has a thrilling voice like no other male on Broadway. I can't get enough of this song - and these two amazing artists. Such heartfelt passion. Such professionalism. Such a song!!!

Steve was absolutely incredible in the show. I saw it 4 times! He deserved so much more as did JRB. This score is a masterpiece...

This clip was my introduction to Steven Pasquale's singing voice. Honestly, I'm in awe of his diction, expression, phrasing and breath control. And he taught himself to sing? Seriously? This is a masterpiece.

Kelli's robot dancing slays my entire existence.

It's wonderful being able to see this video of these two wonderful singers performing this song live in a studio. Marvelous.

I'm sitting here in tears watching this video just as I was when I saw this beautiful show on Broadway!!

This is the role of Kelli's career and she will not let it die easily. I expect a lush 10th anniversary concert performance. Steven and Jason showed up for Kelli's 54 Below cabaret act and they performed this - November, 2021

i love how when she sings she keeps her palms open. like she can feel the music more that way. beautiful.

i don't think this song will EVER be done as amazingly as it was by these two. The Bridges score is my absolute favest ever, even before rent and spring awakening

@@javarie19 There were many great [and probably superior] scores written long before Rent and I hope you get to listen to The King and I, Carousel, Gypsy and a few others.

Can you even imagine what it is like to write a song and then hear Kelli O'Hara sing it?

Just tiny little things make this go from really good to outstanding. When Kelli is in her opening section and she goes through the phrase from "Before and after you" through to "you, with a touch at once erased" in one breath and the way Steven emphasises the word "second" every time he sings it, it's a heartbeat every time! Just breathtaking!!😁🎶

Steven Pasquale... man, i might love him. His voice is gold.

Kelli O Hara was nominated best actress for this musical but Steven Pasquale wasnt. She lost that year and wan the following year for The King and I.I agree that he was robbed not to.be nominated. He is a great singer and actor

Great melody. Great lyrics Great arrangement and orchestral backing. And, of course, great vocals by Kelli and Steven!

I luv Kelli ! She's the tip of the top.

She was the best Anna Leonowens of any lifetime in The King and I and he was the best Billy Billy Bigelow of the last several generations in Chicago's Lyric Opera Company production of Carousel. As wonderful as Joshua Henry was in last season's revival of Carousel, Pasquale was the embodiment of the role and stopped the show dead when he sang Soliloquy. Awesome artists.

The video is multiple takes spliced together. The clip where she makes a face at the end is 20 minutes earlier than other clips (you can see the clock beside JRB). You can also see that her hair is different throughout. I'm guessing the audio we're hearing isn't from the take she was unhappy with.

I love this show!!! I saw it twice when it finally came to our area & would go again if I find out it's nearby.

Music has always kept me going. This is my elixer. Can it be bottled? The passion and the beauty in this perfomance reminds me that the world can be beautiful and loving, full of passion and warmth.

I cannot stop listening to this song for days ... what a romantic song and beautiful couple ... seems so real ... can feel their passion, love and struggles. Beautiful. Cannot wait to see a local production this weekend.

This is the benchmark to which we all work. Extraordinary songwriting accomplishment.

What a privilege to do that!! When I was in Colorado, I performed in the community theater, that was such blast!!! I was in several plays throughout the years, the last one was "South Pacific".that's why I love musicals, and love to sing.....🙂

Probably a silly question but does anyone know who the conductor is? I am so impressed with how they work with him. They have such a good connection. If you watch him carefully and correlate his mouthing of the song, you can see that he is controlling minute intonations. I love that part where Kelli doesn't drop eye contact from him. She anticipates, reads and executes the instruction meticulously. Kelli and Steve are where they are in the industry in part, I'm sure, because they are leaders in respecting and following vision. Of course they aren't perfect but such humility is, well, humbling for an aspiring artist to see.
