Great video. Something that people sometimes confuse is that the "Nameless one" that the people of Gondor call Sauron is not out of fear. It is a defiance. Unwilling to give Sauron the luxury of having a name. Names are hugely important in Tolkien works. Many know the descriptive aspect of them but I think it goes beyond that. It is a sense of identity. Remember when Bombadil tells Frodo "Don't you know my name yet? That's the only answer. Tell me, who are you alone yourself and nameless"

It’s quite disappointing that we will likely never get first age movies but after rings of power I doubt any could do it justice Perhaps Peter Jackson so long as the studio doesn’t interfere like they did in the hobbit trilogy

High intelligence, patience, and love for telling stories. One without the other won't get you close to Tolkien's level. He had attention to detail yet concise with his choice of words.

Tolkien was very well read, he read many of the mythologies and stories of the ancient world. It’s why he wrote the middle earth stuff as though it was a historical tale he discovered, both to give the impression that this was written thousands of years ago and in reference to some authors of the ancient world. The best way to learn to write a believable world is to learn about our own and to read as much as you can, that’s the advice I think he’d give you

I love the subtle Mordor music in Rey background of your videos. Makes me think of those cinematic montages in the films when that soundtrack would play.

Puts it in perspective. Tulkas, a Vala, was required to physically capture Melkor. While Sauron got brought down by two hobbits (three, if you count Gollum), and they didn't even have to touch him. 😂😂😂

​​​@@rocketraccoon1976Levels, Morgoth was the most powerful Valar, Sauron was the most powerful Maia. Tulkas was the strongest physically, Valar were great at one thing. Morgoth was the exception,most powerful in all things second to Eru Illuvitar,it took all of the Valar,the Vanyar elves,and everyone on middle earth to get Tulkas to grab him. It wasn't that simple,not to mention that Middle Earth is Morgoth's Ring.

@@RealmsUnravelled it had to be a powerful servant. And wouldnt it be a Sauron thing to appear first during the war of the jewels as someone else, tricking everyone. Furthermore he had a great impact on the Edain, especially those, that went away to the East. But all, who heard him, were touched by his words. If I was Morgoth, i would have directed that mission to Sauron, as he was so skilled with words an language and his trickery, that there would not be a other option that effectiv.

They both still alive. Morgoth is imprisoned in the void. Where there is nothing but darkness. Sauron spirit is wandering in middle earth like a ghost until the end of time.
