I think Billi's pause was actually her listening to the crow that was yelling in the background; easy to miss if it's not a bird noise you are used to hearing!

If we had buttons with 75+ cat sounds (and no written words on them) and had to not only figure out and remember what each sound means, but also their placement and how to connect them so that they make sense to a cat, in order for us to communicate what we want, I’ll bet we humans would be a hell of a lot slower 😅

@@mememe733I totally agree with you. I constantly see people commenting about these animals using buttons as being so slow, or not knowing what they are saying. Too many don't take the time to seriously consider the true difficulty of understanding the exact meaning of not just a sound from an entirely different species of animal, but also to remember exactly where that sound is in the middle of many, many other sound buttons. To add to that, they then want the animal to structure sentences like we do. To an entirely different species, I am certain many of our words sound like the same word, just like meow and meow sound the same to me, but to a cat, there may be a tiny emphasis here or there that they pick up on that we never would. I am certain to an animals that words so different to us as Door and Drawer, or even Out and Mouth, etc., barely sound like they are different, much less mean something entirely different. And notice that the buttons use OUR language so they must learn our words, not the other way around - us learning Their words (meows or woofs) and then remembering where they are so we can communicate to them. That I'd like to see - and I bet we'd circle that board 10x longer than Billi, and still likely get it wrong! 😆

My elderly little lady had just come up to request catnip dental treats as I clicked on this. She meows softly and stares intently at the package. I keep it on the end table near our medications. She gets some with each of her thyroid pills and once between doses.

Aww, and similar. Our cat has thyroid meds with treats too! Except it's lick-e-lix (a tube full of treat) and liquid medication. Morning and night along with her regular food and she's doing great. They even reduced her meds,she'll be 13 this year. May your cat live a few more happy years.

Erin - Chris was *so* talented..."Tommy Boy" was/is one of my favorite comedies - all the jokes have 'held up', and Chris and David had a natural 'duo chemistry'. 😄

It's hilarious, incredibly cute and amazing at the same time. Because toddlers also like to comment in detail on each event. Just like Billy 🤭😍

Billi, is remarkably intelligent. I love how she paces the pushing of the buttons. I think before she takes a lap around the buttons or whatever, that she already knows what she plans to state. She can tell time and she loves to be able to demonstrate this. Billi is indeed, at the top of class. 💖🐾

I've been teaching my cat "settings" and then "mommy pettings" vs "daddy pettings". We don't have buttons but she already knows lots of things like "daddy's home" that she picked up on her own. I can tell from her body language if she wants something so it's a fun little exercise

Hi hope you read this comment and KZread doesn't delete it again. We have had cats in the past with CRF. Two amazing products that helped immensely are Astros Oil, for CRF and Celloquent, immune boost powder. I can't place the links as KZread deletes my post.
