Mike Tomlin: 16 seasons, ZERO losing seasons, 3 conference championship games, 2 Superbowls, 1 ring, no cheating scandals, somehow goes .500 with a 3rd string quarterback in 2019, in 2022 with 100 year old Big Ben he somehow makes the playoffs. In 2023, has a winning year with a rookie QB while missing his best defender half the season and starting 2-6. His QB could be Taylor Swift and his wideouts could be 3 golden retrievers and so help me god he'd find a way to win with that lineup. A legend in the making.

I dont know if id call him underrated considering he is considered one of the top 5 best coaches in the league and has been nominated (though never won) for coach of the year several times. He was the youngest coach to win a super bowl as well. He is considered one of the best defensive coordinators in the league and was largely responsible for the defensive success of the Bucs in the early 00s.

Tomlin loses Ben and has to do with Mason Rudolph and Duck Hodges. Goes 8-8 and barely misses the playoffs. Belichick loses Brady and replaces him with a former MVP. The bottom falls out. Huge football fan, and one time I was at a nice restaurant and I looked to the table across from me...and I saw Mike Tomlin. This was like 2-3 months after they lost to the Packers in the Super Bowl. He noticed me, noticing him...I gave him a subtle nod. He responded in kind. As I was walking out I said great season coach. He looked at me, confused and said nothing. Got home, google Mike Tomlin and the first result was a picture of Omar Epps. It was in that moment I realized I had ate across from Omar Epps, not Mike Tomlin.

Mike Tomlin is 48 years old and his head coaching record is 142-74-1 with no losing seasons, 15 playoff wins, and 1 Lombardi. When Bill Belichek was 48, his head coaching record was 41-65, 5 losing seasons in 6 years, 1 playoff win, 0 Lombardis. Just pointing out how scary Tomlin's numbers could be if he decides to coach until he's 65 or 70.

Dad was a long suffering Steeler fan from Windber, PA. I was a Browns fan growing up in suburban Cleveland ... but I converted so I could watch the Browns-Steeler games without getting thrown out the living room window. I became a Steeler fan Chuck Noll’s 1st year, 1969. One of the best things Dad did for me ... top five, for sure. Noll, Cowher, and now Tomlin ... 3 HOFers, 2 in the books. Ironic that one of the biggest beneficiaries of The Rooney Rule was Pittsburgh. I think Coach Tomlin’s 8-8 without Shazier, AB, Bell, or Big Ben was his best coaching job, yet. Thank you, Coach T.

Went to 2 Superbowls before we got Bell and AB and then the team was a trainwreck while we had those 2 guys and now they're gone and we're a Superbowl team again.
