100% agree. I used to go to the park and cast to practice. Now it’s like riding a bike. I could use some practice with heavy line and small baits, with the underhand and spool flick. That cast is an art!
Excellent demonstration of fishing skills! Getting after them while the bite is hot. I hope you get many more views since it would improve everyones fishing experience if we all operate like you have done.👍

I love the tribute. I have fished on their since 2014ish? I believe I have a pic of tanner completely glassy, on New Year’s Day at 9ish with a 20lb bft, On 15lb with #4 hook. Funnnn. Tyler has been one of the most fun, personable kid on a boat. Mike runs a nice operation for sure. Check my yt for some of the Costa Rica we were talking about. I don’t edit…. Lol.

I’m not really a gear guy. For this type of fishing, a single speed reel and a 7’ fast action rod works great. I say talk to the guy at your local tackle shop and tell them what you’re fishing for. They’ll steer you in the right direction. There’s a ton of good tackle out there right now that will get the job done. Spend your money and go fishing. There’s nothing better to make you a better fisherman than experience.

Talica 12 with about 100’ of 50 lb p-line. Then a short 50 lb fluorocarbon leader. 2/0 J hook.

Thanks for the comment Frank! You must have watched till the end. :) Artemis is the name of my boat. She is the goddess of the hunt. If you google images of her, she’s pretty bad ass!
