Nothing but the truth in this excellent video, but most people is dumb, and they want to be fooled into buying hyped products that are not worth it !!! Thank you for really trying to help the people to see the reality of how powerfull and evil marketing can be, and how many fall for it !!!

Your comment is really accurate, I am trying to explain to a guy that a Neumann U87 or TLM 103 are absolutely not neccessary for voice over ! They are designed for singers and spoken words never go that high or low. And when they talk about the details of the voice, I am really laughing ! I think they are more probably going to be able to hear the mouse noises, like the "clac" when you're mouth start to be dry. But 2 important points : - High end gear are not necessary, but, for example, the mic is what we have in front of our face (implying eyes, mouth and ears). And I respect the fact that some people want to please themselves. After all, if they have the money, it's not my business. - Many KZread channels, especially those devoted to product testing, talk absolute rubbish! And since they all copy each other, the same nonsense is repeated from one channel to the next. What's more, they test raw products without trying to get the best out of them, don't know how to set a microphone correctly, don't try to work around a problem by doing a little research on the Internet, don't give their test environment (which is basic) or use audio interfaces that are absolutely not those used by the majority of people. Worse still, they are unable to understand the intended use of the product in their hands. In short, not only are these tests misleading, they also show their incompetence and, above all, that they are probably not what they claim to be (I'm thinking of voice-over actors as I write this). The list of errors is so long that I wouldn't know where to begin! In fact, I came to the conclusion that their most lucrative activity was probably the resale of these products! After that, it's a fact: the more you pay, the more you buy tranquility. You can use cheap equipment, but you need to have an excellent ear and a very good knowledge of post-production tools. Which I don't and never will. So you have to find a happy medium, but with a bit of research and analysis, it's not that complicated.
