If you want really cheap, just put it on the box the motherboard came in.

The case is the cheapest thing out of the whole build.

Cooling won’t be a problem

Computers under go rigorous testing to prevent interference with other devices. Why do you think there is so much metal shielding in them? Using wood, plastic, or air will allow it transmit interference.
