The reason I bought this watch was not because it was durable but because if it got damaged or breakable it was easily replaceable at no great expense. I use it for outdoor work in all weathers and it hasn't let me down. The lume is not much to talk about but if I am operating in the dark I also have a torch with me so luminosity was not a priority. It is a comfortable watch to wear and it has earned my respect as part of my collection.

I climb for a living and although a good g shock is a fantastic watch I like to have, I have found these cheapies are awesome in my line of work. They usually last me 3 years and even when the watch eventually gets ripped off my wrist, nothing wrong with the watch, I just cant be bothered getting the band fixed - I just buy another one. Good work casio on your cheapie for people who are too busy to nurse or look after an expensive watch.

I have one in black with a white dial. Use it even when washing commercial dishes in 160° water. Crazy amount of compliments for a $20 Casio. 🎉

I got the 1B3 version back in Nov. ‘20. DONE shopping; best analog quartz three-hander I’ve ever had. And thanks to you I now know how to use the timing bezel so I may use that sometime. The seconds hand actually lines up, hitting each mark on the dial unlike many watches by other brands I had on or saw for as much as $275. So far I’ve accidentally dropped mine from about waist-high (3-4 feet), and I wore it in 15-degree weather to shovel the big driveway, got snow and ice on it and...still going smooth without a scratch. A cool thing about it to me is that resin case and band matches with my DW5600 G-Shock

It's around $40in Israel too, that's why I got mine from eBay!

i have the same one and on day 2 of having this watch the minute hand is always between the 2 dots so i might miscalculate the time by 1 minute

Actually it's an acrylic crystal. So it's better than mineral glass because you can polish out light scratches.

Is there a time limit for the 100M Water Resistant of this watch?

Good review of a great watch. The crystal is plastic, rather than mineral glass. It does scratch easily, but it can be brought back to almost perfect with Polywatch crème and a cotton handkerchief. The crystal is super clear and punchy. The accuracy is insane. My minuses are poor lume and no end of life indicator. The best analogue money can buy. Good lesson re bezel. The second hand pretty much hits the markers.

Absolutely love those things, & the colours available are great. There was a video kicking about on here a while ago where a diver sraps one of these on & takes it down to 100mts & it was absolutely fine! I think they are far tougher than the price or weight would suggest. Just pure value 👍

Realise this is an old review but just grabbed one of these for £20 and had to watch a review to see if I was missing something. What a great watch. Totally agree about the size, can’t believe it’s 43mm it really does look tiny next to my 44mm Deep Blue. Not a bad thing at all as this cheap Casio is probably the best wearing watch I own. Bought just to see what you get for £20 and it has put a huge grin on my face. Strap fits a Casioak as well so its a cheap Casioak strap with a free resin dive watch

Shalom Aviv, This is the best analog budget watch you can buy period. Thank you for your video, iam a great Casio fan myself. The downside, the mineral crystal, can be repaired or swapped for a new one! There are plenty Of KZread videos on how to do it yourself. The only thing is, it is so cheap, that it could be cheaper to buy a new one! Greetings from the Netherlands!

I recently picked up the sgw-500H and it's quickly becoming one of my go to favorites and more often than not I usually have a mechanical on one wrist and my Casio or the addies military style tritium watch on khaki NATO strap on my other wrist 😇

@@MyAffordableWatchCollection it's all good bro :-) I generally don't double wrist myself however this addies watch that I ordered from AliExpress on a nice Zulu strap is the first Zulu strap iherb owned or worn and I'm glad I ordered a second Zulu strap for it as well and I'll be the first to admit I really like these NATO straps even when they're really snug they're still really comfortable and I think they look really nice. I also got that Sanda 390 and my Casio and they're both really comfortable so sometimes I double wrist just for fun 😇 . On the flip side of that coin I just ordered my first Russian Vostok so that will be getting a lot of wrist time here soon when I get it

Btw I bought the blue dial version too about 18 months ago - and got disappointed by finding the numerals weren't lumed. I bought the black dial version 2 weeks ago which HAS lumed numerals. I totally don't understand why they didn't put lumed numerals in the blue dial too. Makes no sense. Aside that, the accuracy is about +1.2 seconds per week - I don't adjust the time once in a year!

It will look nice with a nato strap and a compass making it look really tactical

Alway's get these for the gym sauna/steam room and swim. When the battery runs out i just by a new one in a different colour👍

It's simple and easy to read but I wished Caso made one similar with more durability. Willing to pay for an updated version.

I used a Casio G-Shock G2500 when I was in the military. Now I use my CWC G10 every time I am called for duty.

I love this watch but the price here for this watch here in South Africa is ridiculous considering this watch elsewhere in dollars euros it’s cheap in Europe or US

The cool factor is the day date function⌚

I like the looks of this watch but last night I realized the shortcomings with it. I work security and in the evening and was unable to read it in the dark, so I went back to my reliable Timex Ironman because it's reliable and had indaglow. I like my casio but my Timex is more functional.

You don't need "polywatch". Most any type of polish will work fine. If you want one for plastic specifically, grab a huge bottle of Meguiar's Plast-X at Wally-World or any auto parts store for about 6 bucks.

The cool feature is THE PRICE!

Durability: as long as the glass doesn't crack and break, scratches will neither destroy case or glass.

Great watch but “100M” doesn’t mean 100 metres depth: it means “guarantee for recreational surfing, swimming, snorkeling, sailing and water sports”.

i have mine and almost two years wearing it everday day. I used it on fishing diving 10-15 meters but the watch water proofing handle this depth very well, even if it is not a screw down crown but it gas a double gaskets that prevent water coming in the case. it still ticking the same as new.

But ull find these get tested along with many other cheap casinos and always blow away there stated rating these have been tested under pressure and are beating there described rating many x over

​I've tried it on my other watch. It works, but if you look closely you can still see them only thinner and smaller. The toothpaste is Colgate white, the plain one without crystals

"A few different colour ways" Shows the whole rainbow. :-P Btw. no friction bezel is supposed to be so loose it can be knocked around. In other words, you should be able to fix that Komandirskie.

I don't like this watch material quality and finishing. Feels too cheap. A friend of mine even commented that this looks like a toy. But I love the watchface, looks like budget Luminox. And for some reasons, it can be found in several movies, even can be found worn by the actor of Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli during his fishing trip.

I can’t take this watch off! It’s so good-looking & legible with a cool tactical look. I have many other watches & just keep wearing this one. If I could only have one watch to wear, this would be it. When I put this watch back on after wearing a more expensive watch, it’s like putting my favorite jeans or shoes on.
