France has the most depth of any team in the world. They maybe just lack a pure number 10 like Zidane was before. But in terms of forwards, defenders they are the best team.

I think so, when Upamecano and Pavard are your starting defensive players. England has more depth, people just see Mbappe project his quality on players who are slightly overrated. Just look at England at right-back where you have Walker, Reece James, TAA, Trippier and Rico Lewis. That is 4 champions league winners. England have squad of 50 players, I don’t think France has that level of depth.

@@Delboy0 France has like 8 centre backs who would start for most teams. Like Disassi, Kounde, Upamecano, Saliba, Konate, Mendy etc... In terms of forwards there are Coman, Mbappe, Kolo Muani, Dembele, Thuram, Giroud. A lot of good DM as well, like Tchoameni, Camavinga, Kamara. A bunch of good players who would start for most teams like Moussa Diaby, Zouma aren't even called up. So no England is not even close.

I'm sure you convinced your 2016 squad was the best or the 1998 as well..France is the most succesful team for the last 25 years, they are use to big competitions.. England has done nothing.. I think a bit more humilty would be helpful

France has reached 4 WC finals and 3 EURO finals in last 40 yrs while england has only 1 WC final and 1 EURO final in nearly 60 yrs.france undoubtedly are better in major tournaments

Usually I agree with Nedum but he obviously didn't see the tackle on Højlund. Højlund literally gets a knee delibirately in the back. He confirmed himself that he could hear them agreeing to target him since he, you know, speaks Italian

England outplayed France in the last World Cup and only appalling performance by the referee allowed France to win where denied England two clear penalties and France’s first goal should not of counted because of Saka was clearly fouled before tHe goal. If a normal ref had been in that game England would have won comfortably. I think France have star players like Mbappe whose top level is beyond any of the England players, but I think England more quality depth. When Upamecano and Pavard are starting in your defence that doesn’t say you have great depth. England just in right-back 4 of the top 5 best rights backs in world football in Walker, James, Trippier and TAA and doesn’t include Rico Lewis one of best young fullbacks in Europe, conference league and u21 euro winner Ben Johnson. England might not have an Mbappe, but they have 50 to 60 players who can all play international football well thanks to the quality of the EPL. This makes England very dangerous in tournament football, when they can bring on many subs and not have much quality drop off. The only thing stopping me saying England are favourites is Southgate. If England had a top class coach I would have no problem saying they were favourites.

I've played in as many finals as England has in other countries, so 0 chance you don't embarrass yourself in Germany & USA. 2028? Go ahead and try to Greece your way to another undeserved home trophy nobody gives you credit for, but by then I'm sure Germany/Italy will be back
