Thank You, you are right about the repetitive ways of helping a child with autism talk, my grandson is now 5 yrs old and he is talking now after not talking until he was around 3 yrs old, with the help of his speech therapist and being repetitive at home, he has come a long way, being repetitive is the key I would say in helping, Thank You

@@nicob6802 I have a autistic daughter who’ll be 3 in March. She’s learning words due to repetition. I noticed she learned tv words first after watching things over and over so now I’m trying it before she gets off the speech wait list. But my BFF son is about 9 and they told her he probably wouldn’t talk at all but he started at 4 and is very smart and conversational. Don’t feel discouraged. ♥️

My son is about to be 3 and he knows the names of things, but just doesn't like to speak. He's not nonverbal because he uses words, and occasional phrases like "what do hide mean?" But it's mostly babbling still. We're also still trying to get him to use the potty chair, but he just thinks it's a toy and refuses to sit on it half the time.

Thank you for this information. I use many methods with him from the age of two He used to say the word that he would never return, all the time I presented him with him, but he did not respond, he became 4,5 years old, I myself use the bathroom alone and eat alone and cross even with a word Until they understand it before I go to work and it is difficult to leave work and sit with him at home because I am spending on the house, thank you again. I want ways to help me repeat letters and numbers and love him in the bathroom by all means, but it is useless. In opening the phone and TV, and anything that has the advantages of running away and hiding

That's because they usually know the word, but they prefer not to say it since to them it's easier. I know this because I have a younger sibling who does the same. At first he says the word properly after repeating it, but then they forget the next day. I suggest to teach him/her everyday.

  • @uglycoco

Another technique I am practicing with my son is that when he needs something, he has to say it then we give it to him. For example if he wants milk he has to say "I want milk" or "water". My son sings almost all of the nursery ryhmes perfectly, but he is not using those language to communicate. Thats why we have to force him to talk if he wants something :( so that he knows that he need to speak to get what he wants.

@@pamelaodion9898 dont worry, when my son was 2 yrs old he did not communicate to us. He just sang and sang nursery ryhmes. When he was 5 or 6 yrs old he started to communicate with us with single word. Now he is almost 7, he can say 2 or 3 words when he needs something. Use only single word when talking to them. For example if they eat bread, just say Bread and while pointing to the bread. Do it several times 😀 until they say bread.
