Pete Townshend performing "You Better You Bet" live, off of the album "Live - A Benefit for Maryville Academy".
(No...the video is not from the performance. I just thought I'd give you something groovy to look at while you listened to the song.)

Face Dances is a great album, in my opinion. It's a bit of a departure from the preceding Who stuff, but that's why people either love it or hate it. I happen to love it. Thanks for posting this!
I think this song underscores how passion makes one's love grow....
I was at this concert at the Chicago House of Blues and then again with The Who with Pete, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and Zak Starkey in 1999 at the Chicago House of Blues. They raised a $million for Maryville Academy between the concerts and auction (where smashed guitars consistently garner more money for charity than the un-smashed guitars)
Love Pete's high tenor in tandem with the background singers during the chorus on this one.
A very underrated song.
I just herd this song on the raido and it's amazing.
His voice doesn’t sound as powerful as in his younger days but I love Pete - what an incredible agent of change in rock !!!
This song goes way back for me. I remember listening to it on my walkman F1 while working for Western Electric In the SF central offices shortly before ATT divestiture happened. Blue, orange, green, brown, slate, over and over with the Who, It was awesome. Face Dances or It's Hard? doesn't really matter, Kenny Jones on drums!

Opening track on Face Dances, 1981.
One of the few really amazing songs from the 80's portion of The Who. Most of them were pretty substandard.
petes demo for this song is fucking magic
Pete's solo version of this song is just as strong as The Who's hit version of it!
0h, God Pete, maybe we should get a camera, n . go on and on, endless smiles.
That's probably because it's from the 80's. Pete Townshend of The Who, wrote this in 1981.
ÓTIMO!!
when i first got into the who i didn't listen to post moon stuff just because of the bad reputation of it, but now I think face dances is one of the better who albums. I kinda wish pete had done it as a solo album so that he could sing all his songs

I love this song SO MUCH. Don't get mad, but I thing Roger sings it with way more attitude.
Thanks Remo! Yummy... "Fuckin better!..."
It is very good. Not their best, but they have had some amazing albums.
Has anyone noticed that this is two separate videos spliced together? Different guitars. Give me a break.
Pete is one hell of a songwriter, i just hate it when he smashes instruments!!!!
Hey u Bttr Bet, did John really follow u around w the RCA camera, just to why, act interested, wn he threw us out, n didn't even know about the bad axn. that we couldnt cope or had no faith, while he goes on & lies? Well, I'm not drum, but it's a really nice song, u did way bttr than Double Fantasy, who's record i nvr got, but owe a couple, what's the purpose? N the day will come n i will crumble them up, n because they did nothing for me, i mean whole total 0! Yeah, n that's watchin ur back pretty hard, concert hall!
