The long hook you found was used to open the oil boxes that held the brass bushings or bearings on railroad cars.

I wonder if there was some type of paper factory around there back in the days? I live in the PNW so I immediately think trees...lol. The fisherman from that era also used anything they could, window weights, coffee cans full of concrete, to hold down fish traps or (window weight) jiggin. My area it was Ling Cod and Halibut, around you maybe Catfish or?

The rollers remind me of old printing press rollers. I saw similar stuff when I took graphic communications at the tech. I wouldn't be surprised when they demolished those shanties that they didn't bother removing all the items inside.

Hello Tyler! I know when I worked n a peanut mill where they roast peanuts for candies and what have ya and they were soft rollors under my table because a large rubber belt rolled peanuts long on it so bad ones can be picked off.the gears under the roller turned the belt , kinda like a vacume cleaner belt but bigger. I'm not saying that's what that came off of but it looks a lot like what I worked off of. Take care, stay safe out there and God bless🥰

At 8:50, it is a rotary switch. And the axle with the hole, sticking out of the metal plate, used to have a turn handle or a knob. The wooden roller with the string attached, was a window shade, that you can roll up by pulling the string.

That might be what those rollers yus to be used for when you said there used to be a train that went through there. When they used to unload the train cars back in the old days they had rollers mounted on planks and would position it up in the train car and unload the train car by letting the pallets, crates, and boxes of products go down the rollers to unload the train cars. Cheers.😊

I’m pretty sure that’s what it is. It’s my guess and it’s pretty cool looking it actually looks like a bunch of sausages hooked @3:21 together.🤪🤪 Okey-dokey have a good time I’m watching and totally amazed at the fines that you found so far
